73% in favour ? Where have this love for Ronaldo come from ? Is it some kind of revenge over Sancho leaving for United ?
And that 27% are against it because they think Kane..... etc.
In football terms it makes sense. He's clearly not the player he was but if we forget about who he once played for and his distant past and just think about his last season, he still has the attributes we need. I don't think he's going to pick the ball up like Foden and dribble around everyone but I do think he can score 20 goals a season for us. That will be enough.I dislike him just as much as any Blue but Ronaldo on a 1-2 year deal would be incredible.
He can score penalties and is an aerial threat for when we randomly start spamming crosses. 81 goals and 17 assists in 98 Serie A games. Worse league than the PL for sure but he isn't washed yet. Played well at Euros.
If the fee and wages are sensible then this makes sense as a stop gap option. He's marketable so our portfolio would improve all around the world and it would piss off the rags so much!

Mike Summerbee's friend in football was George Best. Certainly a good friend. Alex Stepney played for City. Brian Kidd, assistant manager. The past is the past. Many of us have fathers, sons, brothers and mothers who are Man Utd and loved Ronaldo. Were they wrong to do so? he simply played for their team, and hopefully he'll play for ours, and if he does, their memories are destroyed not ours.

NahBlues hated Otamendi but he won a lot of trophies for City ;-)
We loved the otter.
No brainer for me. We need goals and he is a goal machine. I don’t see him as arrogant just really confident in his ability in fact he’s probably more humble than Messi. When young fans go up to him he always stops for a photo or autograph.

Some footballers are almost larger than life. That is the case with Ronaldo. We've grown up hating who he used to play for, and some by association hated him. Not for me. It's the shirt I don't like. He's about to forsake that shirt and commit sacrilege so if he wears ours he will be City.

People slaying his character and what he would bring to the dressing room. If he were likely to be disruptive etc surely Dias or Bernardo would be advising caution based on actually knowing him and sharing a dressing room with him?
