Scores goals but not good enough to win a golden boot and Ballon D’or? Weird argument to make considering goals are what win those awards
Ronaldo is on a par with a 25 year old and whether people like it or not he is the ultimate professional footballer . At the euros when Portugal went out most of the players were walking off just chatting about another loss but Ronaldo was gutted because he wants to win every game .

Had a glance over the names, after this.

Here is an observation and question.

Many of the no votes are people that were pretty keen on Messi. What on earth is tbe logic there?

I can pretty much understand not wanting Ronaldo, to a large extent. For a few reasons. Wanting Messi though but but wanting Ronaldo though, I struggle with. I don't see any significant enough difference.
There isn't. He played for scum 12 years ago fucked them off and won everything. No difference to getting tevez etc.
We’re going to sign him and he’s going to do his gimpy little celebration isn’t he.

I might do a little sick.
Yeah when he fires one past poppadom hands at the swamp ha

It’s not about issues caused

I think he his a fantastic footballer

But it’s his persona, his arrogance

Yes people can say it’s a winning mentality but no one will convince me to like the man
To be fair he has a lot to be arrogant about.

Arrogance is ok and indeed probably a requirement of a ultimate high end sportsman.

One reason for myself not wanting Kane was his personality on the pitch, or the Sevier lack of one, he is far too nice for a top level, winner.

Our very own David Silva was a gentleman but on the pitch he was a tough little bastard.

I've read Kaveh Solhekol article in Sky Sports.
Actually, he covered all the possibilities to not be fount out. like saying City is interested and are willing to offer him a two-year contract, with a salary of £12.8m-per-season but at the same time City are happy with the business they have done this summer after signing Jack Grealish for £100m and Pep Guardiola would be happy to continue the season without any more signings.

So I wouldn't read too much into it

People can’t stand Ronaldo because he played for the shite. The majority think Messi is the greatest player ever. Messi is 2 years younger. If you watched Messi and Ronaldo play last season the difference was huge in terms of general play as Messi still looked head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch in the majority of games.

Personally I’d have taken either but wanted a striker desperately. Now Kane has fell through signing Ronaldo could well be the difference between losing and retaining our title. Ronaldo will score shitloads and will also give us the aerial threat we badly miss in the last 20 minutes of games when our passing game has failed to open teams up.

I understand the emotional reactions but head over heart, if we sign him we can win everything. If not I think we lack an edge for the biggest games so league and CL would be gone. Signing a top striker is going to be a decisive difference this season so I don't care who it is. We must sign a top striker.
