I'm surprised we're interested in him. Obviously still a world class player, but he's much more of a luxury player nowadays. At 36 years old, you can't be expecting him to press and chase down balls in the same way that they rest of the squad will. I know he's still super fit, but age catches up to everyone.

Why not? Fernandinho does it and he's playing in the most demanding position on the pitch. Ronaldo has more work ethic than Grealish who has that "I'll trot around and wait for somebody to win the ball back for me because im the best player on the pitch" attitude. Ronaldo wouldn't come here if he wasn't ready to compete for everything one last time. You might not see him pressing like jesus but you won't get half assed effort from him, he's not looking for a pay day otherwise he wouldn't leave Juve or would go straight to MLS.

Pep will get them all at it otherwise they end up like Sane. Why didn't we have this concern over Kane who has the mobility of an injured Rodri?

36 year old Ronaldo is great you say - as good as Kane and Lukaku. And definitely better than Vardy you say. But then it emerges from you that Ronaldo won't be quite as good as Kane or Lukaku because he'll need to be rested due to age. Which has been a theme of mine all along - at 36, you're very much more prone to injury and even if not injured you're not going to perform nearly as well as you had in the past.

Whatever. At least I've got one bet out of you, albeit one that I'm at a bit of a disadvantage of.
