Champions League - 2021/22

As I've said many times before, I think its good that we have drawn another massive side in the groups.

It'll be a massive pair of matches, huge occasion for the players and a chance for use to lay down a marker without the pressure of getting kicked out if it goes badly.

1st or 2nd doesn't really matter anyway.

The Messi vs Ronaldo angle would add something if he joins.

About damn time we got a good group again.

Champs League has been so boring this side of the season for a few years now, good to finally have some potentially really good matches to watch.

Liverpool have a really hard group.

Milan are really a pot 2 side hiding in pot 4 until their coefficient builds up.

Atletico are their kryptonite.

Happy with that group other than the potential for PSG to lose their shit again and start clogging our players.

PL fixtures following CL Matchdays...

Md1: Southampton (H)

Matchday 2 is sandwiched between aways to Chelsea & Liverpool

Md3: Brighton (A)

Md4: Man Utd (A)

Md5: West Ham (H)

Md6: Wolves (H)

It’s the before’s that worry me, a bad selection here or there & we could find ourselves off the pace

United have my favourite type of group for them.

The kind they should walk all over but Villarreal and Atalanta are good sides who could upset them.

Hard to argue against Jorginho. There's a precedent for just giving it to players who win the most not actually the best players during the year and there's no reason for that to change just because it isn't a bigger name.
I'm actually glad Jorginho (apart from it being a shame for Kev) won it, good to see a footballer that's just really good at what they do recognised, even if it doesn't make it to the goals and assists column.

Whenever Italy win a tournament the award actually goes to a player who's not just the best goalscorer.

Well they certainly walked all over Villareal in the Europa final last season!
