Aggressive must've meant buying a player with a release clause and a ridiculous one at that. I think the writing was on the wall for this window when we hadn't made any signings until after the first week in August.
Paying that 100m set a marker, and we seriously expected Levy to let us have Kane on the cheap after spending a 100m big ones on Grealish, just WOW

The only thing stopping me from enjoying this moment half as much as the CAS verdict is that half of you aren't in on it.

We're literally the best team in the country and when the second best player of modern times came crawling on his hands and feet begging to join, we shrugged our shoulders and acted with indifference.

Hopefully we sign a striker. I'm not arsed at this point as long as he doesn't look like Peewee Herman with abs.

The same team that beat us in the final added to their squad a piece they needed. We added grealish to a team full of mids that already play his position. If you can’t see Chelsea are just as good as us then I don’t know what your not seeing
I'm not sure where this Lukaku is the world's greatest striker has come from. Awful player if you ask me

Biggest mistake this summer isn't missing out on this **** because make no mistake he is a **** but we'd have sucked that up if palying for us, we didn't move for Messi who I think would have been less successful here however, as I started to say, the biggest mistake was spending all window on fucking Kane with no chance of an outcome.

I'd have brought a lower level (Ings) type player in as soon as Levy dismissed our first bid. We'd no longer be desperate and would have been in a better negotiating position however we looked at.

As it is any bid for anyone now is going to have City tax x 3 added.

"Chelsea are now better then us" eh? They're quite far behind in my opinion and will be by the end of the season
Not a chance mate. Chelsea will be right up there and imo are favorites. You can’t compare lampard Chelsea with Tuchels. The guy is a hell of a manager and has proven it so far. They have been amazing with him and know how to grind out results. And now with lukaku they will score even more where Werner was missing sitters

Talking of complete idiots, how does Chelsea getting Lukaku suddenly make them 'better than us'. This is the self same Chelsea who finished 19 points behind us last season and we've added Grealish into the mix as well.

Last season they stuttered for half of it with Lampard in charge. Once Tuchel came in they were a different proposition, as we sadly found out. Add Lukaku and they are stronger and more than closer to us.

no we did not, we tried to sign him on the cheap, the rags got wind and they paid the asking price.

Us pulling out was PR, nothing more

Probably naive, but the only pure 9 we have is Delap. Play him every game, accept there will be stinkers but fuck it, surround him with love, the lad will be surrounded by world class creators, build him up. Haaland didn’t suddenly become a £150m player the day he joined Salzburg. Delap looks strong physically, just play him and be patient for once. And fuck the rest. Fuck all the crap we get, I don’t give a fuck what anyone thinks, I support City, I love the club. Don’t have a pop at the board. Use all this shit to come together and channel it.

Seems like the Kane situation on repeat. Lots of media speculation, but as Pep said, no offers made because they didn’t want to negotiate. I am sure the CR farce was just a ruse to embarrass City because we all know he wanted to return to United. These fake news stories do lasting damage though, an elderly relative who has since passed away talked for years about City ruining football by spending all that money on Kaka. Despite many conversations I still never convinced her that City never signed him.

Wouldn't be like a super agent to use city to get a better deal at another club would it?
Don't think it has to do with the agent. United just couldn't bare us getting Ronaldo so cheap. So they bid. Fair enough.
