New striker?

Absolutely no way will we be signing Haaland next season, he and his agents know what they are doing to maximise the profits for them and that low release clause will make him earn much more than KDB + a monster agent fee, we won't be involved in that.

Theoretically that makes sense but if the reports of him preferring a wide berth are true, then we are even more overstocked in those positions. A season of tempting crosses awaits and, as yet, perhaps nobody to profit from them.
 
Rags don’t need Cavani anymore. I’d honestly take him for a season

I was thinking that, but Haalands options next summer do seem to be narrowing.

I’d say so, but can come up with reasons to count all 3 out as well.
Bayern same as us wages and agent fees
Real, think they may try for Pogba on a free can they pay mega wages for Mbappe, Pogba and Haaland, but they seem to find it.
PSG , not convinced he sees France as a destination.
All guesswork ,but this is a deal that will be sewn up and agreed in early spring so we would know well before the window opens next summer.

All you are saying is true, we should be favorites to sign him. Especially when you consider we are the only club from the best league in the world, and a team his father played in and he supported growing up. With that said, Im sure Txiki would find a way to f*ck it up anyway.
 
Who we want is not necessarily who we'll get of course.

Where's Kane? He's still an option.

"Who do you think will most likely be signed as our striker?"

My rankings on MOST LIKELY for us to sign as of today:

#1) Kane (yes, still him)

#2) Lewandowski (close 2nd)

#3) Haaland (hard to hear, but City fans, have noticed how we don't get to sign these type of players?)

#4) A young talent not yet shown it that impresses this season - Lauturo Martinez, Joao Felix, etc.

No reason we should be favourites,his history has little bearing on his football ambition, otherwise Leeds would be in there you seem obsessed with blaming Txiki everywhere , maybe if you and many others actually understood our transfer set up you’d stop.

How has it been sussed? We won the league by 12 points and got to the CL final for the first time by deploying that fairly often.

After one season of having a striker do people say “we can’t play a striker anymore because he’s been sussed”?
 
Anyone at this point who may have been attainable for 60-80m would now be 85-100+m given where we are and the obvious need we have and the clock ticking.

Either we sign no one or we take a risk on a younger player somewhere- IDK where... who knows.

Its been sussed because more and more in the second half of the season and so far this season at Spurs, its been inneffective

It may work against your Norwich's etc but we need that top striker against the best teams to give us an edge

We didn’t play a false 9 against Spurs nor Norwich. Torres played as a striker in both games.
