Its not even about this kid, although he's widely considered a massive talent and is young enough to accept a back up role, why aren't we signing any left back?

Even if they weren't planning on doing it this summer, I dont understand why the club can't react to changing circumstances? No one planned on Kane falling through or Mendy getting sent to prison but it happened, so react! Bring a signing forward a year because opportunity presented itself.

Our board is simply infuriating in the transfer market. Extremely slow moving I feel.

We often play with a back three and one of the full backs moves into midfield so we can use Ake or Laporte as LB with Cancelo at RB.

We have enough good options to see us through to January when we have the option to got into the market if we find the existing options have not been sufficient.

I like our squad and have full faith in Pep, but more and more it feels like something fucking weird is going on.

The whole summer we had to hear about Kane constantly, and now we're finding out that we made 1 cheeky bid in the Euros and the Spurs refused to talk to us at all. So why did we not move on, or if there was no one else why continue the circus as if the transfer was real?

We sulposedly weren't that interested in Ronaldo, but managed to allow Mendes to make it look like we were enough to convince United to buy him and strengthen themselves massively.

We knew Mendy had been arrested on suspicion of multiple rapes and false imprisonment, and we had no plans for a left back? Seriously? Did no one think an arrest might lead to something?

We are obviously 1 player light at DM but not even a runour linking us to one of those.

It feels like something weird is going on.

Either we’re going big next summer for Haaland and a DM. And possibly a LB once we terminate mendys contract

Or we’re literally broke lol and a lot poorer than we thought

If you're ending the summer window thinking about how you can make January signings, you've not planned things properly.

I have a feeling that they are preparing for life after pep? Don't want to make any more purchase. Only that would explain this

Or we are just broke.

We’ve just spunked a £100 million on the nose for Jack, not pay in five years, we have the money and in the main spend it well.

City clearly still thought things would change after the first bid and had Levy been able to bring in someone he would have sold Kane. I stand by that.

The rags would fall for anything, Mendes would only have to mention our names before they shit their pants.

We are not 1 player light though. Gundogan can play DM and we have a few very talented youngsters of our own who could make that position theirs once Fernandinho leaves.

Nothing weird is going on, we just operate 1000 times better than we used to.

One thing I've noticed with Grealish playing wide left is the amount of times he finds the extra yard of space for Cancelo to drive into the box or get a cross into the box. However, due to Cancelo having to cut back onto his right foot, the opportunities have been wasted.

If this kid is as good as crossing as those stats suggest and has pace to burn, it does seem a missed opportunity.
