Leicester (A) - Post-Match Thread

its the bigger games matey and away to leciester is hard to get the 3 points.. city had to work so hard today and credit for that. but if we take just a couple of the chances we see the game out ? the torres one that he put wide when he was put in or the gundogan header all a strikers dream

but the win is all that matters now and everything else is pointless
The flaw in your argument is the assumption that all of our chances would have fallen to that striker

He got that because vardy went down and started holding his head, the fucking cheat!
It was a pure game management by the ref to make things really difficult for us considering how LC played - they are doing counter-attacks, so let it be as comfortable for them as possible. Not to mention Rodri's yellow, that was on its own a borderline bullshit, he clearly won the ball and what was he supposed to do with his foot after kicking the ball, continue jumping on one foot for the nest five minutes. But back to Laporte/Vardy, it happened, 100 miles from the goal, Vardy was not in control of the ball or LC was in no in any phase of the game to even 't' of threaten our goal, and Laporte just nudged him when jumping, no arm slapping , no elbow, nothing, and there was no previous incident Laporte was involved in. I was really shocked when that f..ker pulled out the yellow.

Leicester played quite well and defended heroically, especially in the first half where they threw themselves to block everything, but you always sense that pressing Schmeichel will either directly or indirectly lead to a goal.

We had games like this even when we had top, top strikers. It's just how it can be for a possession dominant side.

The important thing is that we played largely well, kept the ball well, created chances consistently and prevented the other team from getting much joy in attacks.

If we played like that all season, it'd be far more likely that we win games consistently than consistently miss chances and pray for good luck.

Totally dominated the first half and created some decent chances , on another day we go in at half time 4-0 up , Bernardo was superb linking with Grealish , a thoroughly deserved victory at a tough away day. Vardy is a cheating little bastard Laporte didnt even touch his head but he went down like Tyson Fury had hit him , the referee coudlnt wait to get his card out if our players so much as broke wind near a Leicester player.
Good three points and strong defensive performance , media bullshitters can make Chelski favourites with Fakeronaldo Utd., but we will be the team to beat again.

I see Tuanganga got a red card and Spuds got dicked 3-0.
All this talk of no striker wouldn`t be a point of interest if that comedy ref in the first game against Spuds had done the job he`s paid to carry out.
That guy is going to get sent off every other game and will wonder what he’s doing wrong. “I’m only playing like I did against City and I got man of the match then.”

There would be quite a few we wouldn't buy if we were asked the question when they were in bad run of form. Bernie probably one.
Exactly, I wouldn't buy Walker with stupid penalties giving away, Stone a few years ago, Zinchenko, Jesus, Rodri, Mahrez, Laporte, etc. when they made mistakes and were in bad form.

I'm glad I'm not the guy who decides to buy and sell players!

I thought it was a good game. Pretty end to end. We had our spells where we dominated but they werent shy in having a go, which is rare from the opposition.
Good 1-0 win that coulda been 4-3

That was my fault as I put him in my fantasy team as a cheap option that would keep clean sheets and not get bookings based on our game and 20 mins I saw of the wolves match.
