Champions League - 2021/22

All remaining EL3 and SS3 blocks now gone on sale. CB3 not yet showing online but given we have to turn loads of tickets over to UEFA in that stand, there might not be too many in there if/when they do go on sale. I can actually see this selling out now. Just a shame that half of us won't be able to get in!
Hopefully. some of the Blues who said they won’t go because of the poor admin will change their minds as (fingers crossed) it could be a fantastic night.
 
Just spoken to Danny Wilson - who has to be given credit for calling me within 5 minutes of receiving my email. He is dealing with the issues raised and is really aware of the situation long term fans are finding themselves in. I believe there will be an announcement tomorrow about the cup scheme tickets - which WILL be transferable to Friends and Family members. Bear with him - check it out tomorrow.

Danny has owned the decision to go “Big Bang” on mobile phone ticketing. It’s reassuring that Danny has fronted up to this, rather than hiding. He will be working his bollox to help
many fans.

Some people want apologies, I couldn’t care less as long as the Club sort the mess out. Rather than helping out Blues he knows, I agree with the poster who said Danny wouid be better off working one of the ticket office windows today and helping anyone who needs it.

I’m a bit surprised by this post Tim. Think you’ve taken my comments out of context somewhat. He isn’t helping “people he knows” - he’s responding to personal emails but hasn’t sorted out the problem just for me as some sort of favour. He’s just tried to assure me that they are aware of the issues & are hoping to make a favourable announcement today.

Furthermore, I think he’s fully aware of the call volume & the ticket office’s inability to cope with it. He can’t work on the issue whilst he’s answering phones - one more person wouldn’t make any difference anyway.

I wasn’t focussing on your post mate. Sorry if I’ve given that impression. I was thinking more about posts I have read on here over the years. The impression I have gained is that people who know Danny personally (not you) have received more help than many other fans. That’s life and I’m sure it was very well intended. It was fine when support for fans was working but not a great look when it isn’t. That’s just my opinion.

Danny isn’t going to be personally working on IT fixes. As I said, he will be doing his best to sort things out. I said he would be better served spending some time at the ticket office window today, rather than writing an apology. That’s my view. As I said, he will have been working his bollox off to put things right. It’s also very good that he’s listened to fans about ticket transfers.

I’ve mentioned this before on here but I wrote to Danny twice about my mate with terminal cancer and I didn’t get a reply. He may well have been on holiday and he would have been exceptionally busy anyway. I don’t hold this against Danny in the slightest. It was a long shot and i got brilliant help from the Official Supporters Club anyway. I’m just making the point that by offering direct help to a limited number of Blues other fans aren’t experiencing that same great level of service.

Think you’re getting mixed up with the City end mate ;)

Seriously though, it was only last week that UEFA said away fans would be allowed at European games so they’ll have had very little time to organise flights, etc. I’m not sure what the Covid testing requirements are for German visitors to the UK and for when they return home either so that maybe adds another layer to the hassle for them.

It’ll be like a return of the Fulham and Wigan away ends. Can’t blame them though, it’s incredibly short notice, and when you factor in the other variables could you really be arsed? Probably not.
