I suppose it's all relative to your own point of view but personally I think Gorton blue is a fucking idiot as well as those who endorse his crusade to call Pep a prick 30 times a day.
The reaction from the thin skinned cry arsing middle aged men on here over the last 48 hours is fucking miles worse than what the manager said. It's embarrassing to read.

I'm from Gorton mate, Waterhouse Rd, I also used to be a cleaner on Bury Bus Station yet I'm not upset by a foreigner saying something and it being taken the wrong way.

However it is all being discussed in private and idiots like me have no media presence.

We're not denouncing the club in public or humiliating the fan base and demeaning the club. Pep did that all on his own.

There never used to be any politics associated with the poppies. The remembrance of fallen soldiers was considered a universal value, whereas politics by definition deals in areas of dispute.

In recent times that seems to have changed so probably poppies and all that stuff should be left out of football. I think that’s a shame but reflects the attitude of many in society now, sadly.

There probably is politics in everything but having other peoples politics forced on you in everyday settings is the issue. There’s a reason people tend not to discuss politics at work, and that broadcasters are subject to impartiality rules.

It hasn't been taken the wrong way.

He has a high public profile and he's attacked the club's fan base in public damaging the club in the process and distracting from his primary focus (failing to win the Champions League again I think).

I'm not someflake looking to be offended. I'm trying to defend the club against the manager. A situation that should never have arisen.

I'd have sympathy for your argument if you'd have left it after the first few posts but seeing as you've spent two days calling him a **** on a public forum I'm gonna say you're doing your bit to demean the club.
Over exaggerating Peps words just so you can get offended is fucking tragic.

So for all the talk about empty seats we actually had the second highest attendance in all Europe , only topped by Liverpool who were playing AC Milan, a far bigger draw than RB Leipzig..
(Admitedly the BBC reported 38,000 , but others reported 45,000 and it looked more like 45,000 to me , even so the 38,000 would have still had us 5th , with virtually no away fans)

Maybe there's something else at work here (other than a lack of intelligence I mean). Maybe you think the sun shines out of his arse and he can do or say nothing wrong in your eyes?

That's how I see it too. I believe Pep meant well, but I cringed at his comments, not because he said anything particularly bad, but I knew the whole debate about City's attendances would be brought up all over again and all the 'Emptyhad', 'plastic fans' memes would be resurfaced once again. If he never mentioned it we wouldn't be talking about it, but now its become a front page issue and a pointless sideshow.
