Chelsea (A) | Post-Match Thread

I keep seeing or hearing we didn't get a shot on target all first half, there wasn't a mention of Chelsea not having one all game
Exactly. Very hard to get a shot off when 11 men is defending right at the edge of their own box. They were the home side and should of been more expansive. Nothing really said at all about Chelsea failing to get a single shot in target!

Their game is all about intimidation. On the forwards and on the ref. It works on Raz. It's why they get away with so much. Oliver had his arms round so many of them yesterday explaining why he couldn't give them what they wanted instead of booking the that's like Rudiger and Jorginho.
Aspilaqueta was trying for a pen late on when he knew their player was brought down by a team mate.
Cheats - and it showed.
Watched the game back, and while i thought they got away with plenty at the time, their foul count and sly digs were far more numerous than i thought.....how Oliver saw fit not to punish most was not right, and that aspect of his officiating let his performance down.

To be fair to Rio Ferdinand, which I don’t like to be usually, he pulled that tall presenter on BT at half time who said that for all City’s possession we hadn’t had a shot on target. He pointed out that City were the away side and had made all the play, which is correct, the onus should be on the home side to make the play. Chelsea never tried to match City, they were happy to sit back, imagine City fans if City played like that, we would tear a strip off them for playing negative football. we ran the game from start to finish and should have won the match by a higher margin. Well done the boys. City were fantastic and head and shoulders above Chelsea.

Wouldn't be like him to say something positive about us. What was said about Ferdinand going over to City fans putting up fingers of how many Premier League titles he won? Just heard Humphreys saying something along those lines couldn't really hear it.
