Translated as the PL backs down because it can't have its control exposed to public scrutiny. Particularly with a bigger battle coming up.
Things are relatively calm at the moment Newman, please don't stir my nerves by taking us down that road!

Don't forget that the FFP rules will prevent them from investing in the way our owners did. It will have to be a long-term project
Prob steamroll commercially and get sponsor from all over SA, if they wanna make a splash sharpish at a guess anyway. Tenuous but not provable links, theres gonna be some fume either way i expect.

Gonna interesting to see how a major takeover like this does post FFP. Us, Chelsea, PSG were all prior to implementation. *grabs popcorn*

Be interesting to see if they can attract players instantly if the takeover happens. I'm sure players will be willing to go there (a club with a full stadium in the Premier League) but will they get the right players?

We went through a fair few shite before getting the gems who let us attract what we needed.

If they make a big offer they might be able to tempt Wayne Bridge out of retirement.

Maybe they'll Spunk their load on Sterling

both good news and bad news really
building what we have today a (manchester city) is just about impossible with all the rules set in place by the elite

the good news is manchester city are a stable/established club and would take some shifting after the foundations was built over the years and just needs little tweaks every year or so

the bad news well adding another club with a very good fan base to the top 6 clubs would mean that signings new players their value would increase and become more of a auction

united and liverpool will be the loser in all of this and with their growing debt a barcelona fire sale could be on the cards

I guess Steve Bruce will be out of a job in the next 24 hours then ! Never mind look at the bank account, and I am sure the scum will get him in somewhere for a guaranteed 6 points each season!

Good luck to Newcastle. They are a big club with great support who have been starved of success. Anything that provides real competition for the media darlings 2 teams in red is to be applauded.

There is no guarantee they will have success but their fans will know they have arrived when the media start sniping about buying success, players supposedly being mercenaries and accusations are made that the real NUFC has gone.

Where once their fans were applauded for loyalty every opportunity will be given to mock them.

But if they see their team winning why should they care.

Quite an interesting dynamic with Amanda Staveley allegedly taking up a role within Newcastle if this deal comes off.

She’s deep in with our owner from a business perspective.

Despite shaky relations between nation states, it may mean that we have another ally in our corner to fend off the yanks.

I also think they’ll be lurking around some of our players come 2023 - especially if that relationship is there at board level. A player like Mahrez would make a massive statement and they could pay him fat whack to make the move.

So let's just give in to the yank owners then
I remember a Villa fan gobbed off about us after we bought Barry so fuck them.
Everton, fucking Moyes after we bought Lescott, yeh they can fuck off as well.
Oh and don't start me on .............
A couple of fans have a YouTube channel and you lot will fuck 'em off, In..Cred...Ible

Long live the U S of A.
Mate, I have hated Villa fans after the way they treated The great Gaz Baz after he signed for us.
On the bright side I smiled every time he lined up on the East Stand side of the stadium :-)

I don't particularly welcome Saudi ownership of NUFC. it's not like City who are privately owned by a Sheikh.

Will be very interesting to see the differences in perception between City and Newcastle.
