Harry Kane

In the words of Harry Kane our interest in January should be declared to the media as "Yeh, but no."

(Instead Ser Harreh and his PR team will be the first to announce our client "roared" his disapproval in a winter transfer move, because he loves Hottingham $hitspuds, and he is also a "model professional" etc)

This is all just weird. This reminds me so much of Alexis Sanchez now. Looks good, has a desired transfer to Man City fail, and then falls off the wagon big time.

I wonder what the atmosphere is like at Tottenham?
Now on to Halaand? I sure hope so.

I think Kane will hit form at some point this season, but probably not to the extent to justify a huge transfer fee. 100m for a 29 y.o. next summer would be too much.

I think we were quietly optimistic about signing Kane because it didn't make much sense for Spurs to reject a big offer. That is, we didn't expect Levy to show himself as incompetent to such an extent.

Kane has not played well for a long time. He seems to score most of his goals against the weaker teams (especially for England). He really looks like a busted flush at the moment. It could be injuries or fitness but he is not the same player. Perhaps his style is just not suited to modern high-paced football. I think we have dodged another bullet.

Good point. I think he should stop floating about the pitch and play closer to goal as a penalty box specialist.

Bas Dost's time Sporting is the example.

Or play another striker upfront with him, a more physical or quicker player.

Nuno has played two striker systems before and Son is good enough to play as striker instead of a wide attacker.

Were we ever seriously in for him? Remember Kane killed the transfer before the end of the window. That tells me that he knew it was a media storm in a tea-cup and wasn't going to happen.
