Dampness on the walls.....

So that basically means the house cant breathe..?? Change the siliconed air bricks for new and there will air currents..??
it may possibly help but it does sound like you have a bigger problem than just air circulation if the floor is also getting damp, as others have said you really need a good builder to have a look,
Dont fall for the more I pay, the better the survey, a good quality builder with years of experience should be able to help diagnose the problems.
(some poor quality/poorly installed cavity wall insulation has been known to cause damp problems)

Is it predominantly on and arounfmd the floor or is there any elsewhere on the walls. Is there an access hatch anywhere in the floor that you can judge how high the floor is above the ground below it and what the makeup is.

Getting a damp specialist as some have suggested is the best thing. They do sometimes stick to script though and causes aren't ways that straight forward.

No whatever you do it's not that once a properties been cavity wall insulated the cav vents are redundant, they've been sealed by the cavity wall insulation installers so the wind doesn't blow the insulation away from the cavity vent causing cold spots in a warm wall and thus condensation patches. Next time you pass a new build property see if you spot a cav vent.

Badly installed cavity insulation or more likely fitted in an unsuitable property has the potential to cause issues (we remove old stuff every day)but unlikely its the cavity insulation if damps coming through a solid floor could be several things hard to say without looking at the building.

To be honest it's weird because there are signs on the single skinned interior wall between the lounge and the garage although the worst bit is around where the old gas fireplace was, that's has been ripped out ready for a multi fuel burner. The house is just generally damp I think, next doors has a ' stream ' running out of his garden and around his house when it rains. The houses below us are always having trouble after the rains, ours is a split level bungalow with concrete floors on a slopping garden, loads of moss in the lawn. The joys of living in Wales.

Don’t piss about on here asking for advice. Get an independent damp report done to diagnose the issue, and I mean independent, not the local general builder who thinks he can diagnose damp issues.

I’ve used these for a property of mine in the past https://www.damp-timber-survey.co.uk/

I spent years in loss adjusting using the likes of Rainbow International and others to dry places out - they can tell you if its caused by an internal leak from a pipe ( or drying clothing indoors ) or an external leak caused by failure of the dpc or membrane - or even if there isn't one - the way to fix it is to find the cause
