Consensus is often time orientated , with greater science , greater discovery and the wisdom of hindsight the view often has little alternative but to change and the fool becomes the doyen of wisdom.

I wonder for example what the view on climate change will be in 50 years time.

Will the view be that it was through man's ingenuity and discovery that we put the breaks on the earths temperature or will it be that we saw greater wisdom that concluded beyond doubt our drive to reduce man made emissions was a waste of investment for that issue but there were many other benefits non climate related in doing so so that it was worthwhile to do so.

Masks assist with reducing the spread indoors but little else especially in the warmer months.

Do you really need to mandate masks especially outdoors , what happened to social distancing , hygiene and common sense.

People who want to wear them even in their own homes should have the freedom to do if they wish I am sure you wear yours at all times perhaps not in bed or in the shower with your partner but who knows only you and your partner and kids if you have them know.

What's wrong with Joe offering every non vaccinated person of which their are many millions in the US one of his favourite ice creams if they get the jab or a date with his press secretary wearing masks all the time of course.

Over hear we here our prime minister every day in interviews , parliament , question time , via zoom when in quarantine encouraging the nation to get jabbed I don't hear that from Joe or Kamala on a daily basis but if you can show me the daily links I am happy to be corrected.
