Spurs Thread - 2021/22

Well can't say that no one saw this coming. Spurs this past months were absolutely abysmal. Form aside, Mourinho elevated Kane and Son's playstyle to another level, which Nuno seemed to have discarded all away.

The timing of the sack seemed to me Levy is trying to jump the gun on Conte before United makes a move.

In the press's eyes they did, but we all knew better and as many predicted, its all gone to absolute shite for them.

Apparently Paratici cancelled the deal for Fonseca (before Nuno) because he prefers a more 'pragmatic' coach.
 
Why would any decent manager ever go to Spurs , apart for the money?
No real money to spend, shit squad, miles behind the better teams in the league....

Levy is apparently giving 150£ Million to Conte before selling Kane.

The Money is coming from the the Fans being back and the future TV Deal battle in the USA

They don't have a shit squad, they have an underacheiving squad. But it's full of players perfect for Conte's system.

They already have two natural wing backs for each side (Emerson and Doherty on the right, Reguilon and Sessegnon on the left). Their main weakness has been at centre back, 3 at the back will make them a lot less leaky. Ben Davies has played on the left of a back 3 for Wales for years. Tanganga is a converted centre half playing right back, perfect for a 3. Romero was the best centre back in Serie A last year in a 3. Even the error prone Dier and Sanchez could be decent with a bit more cover, just look at Rudiger. Højbjerg is a great box to box midfielder, Skipp and Winks are decent enough at recycling the ball.

Ndombele, Lo Celso and Alli are all talented enough and he only has to reinvigorate one of them. Son, Moura, Bergwijn - all frightening on the counter attack. Conte loves big, slow centre forwards. He's used them at Juve (Llorente), Italy (Pelle) and Chelsea (Costa). So even if Kane's legs have gone, he'll still fit in.

I think they'll give United a run for top 4 this season.
 
a spurs mate of mines messaged me, hes excited about the Conte news. said finally we will have a manager who will get the best out of players like Dele Alliii.... i responded with a massive LOL
 
Kane will excel under Conte. Be interesting to see how it works under him, think they’ve already got the right players for the way he plays. Massive upgrade on Nuno.

Only doubt is whether he and Levy can work together for long enough before eventually coming to blows.
