Club Brugge (H) - CL - Post-Match Thread

Love the daily mirror United addition no report whatsoever about the champions of England spanking Brugge.

It seems that some of the so called City fans who spew out their stupidity on the match day thread have moved onto this thread.

What a shame we have so much trouble against packed defences like tonight. Scoring 4, hitting the post, drawing super saves from their keeper.

Jeeeeeeeze.

Apparently we need a "striker"...

Oh ok, let’s all just say he’s been brilliant out wide then and close the forum.

Haha. He’s either brilliant or a failure then in your eyes - no happy medium even though he’s still settling in

What the hell was all that about?
It was Pep calling out the ritual, continual, and permanent in built bias in favour of the history clubs at the expense of City. And good for him for doing it. “Believe me, everything we have done here we have done ourselves. Nobody helps us do anything. Nobody”

Unless I’ve missed it , so far this week, this is the first game against United that he hasn’t spent a few days begging them up. If so, good on him again.

Im thinking maybe he has realised the level of corruption in football once you step outside of the red shirts and two Spanish clubs and Bayern.

Came out swinging tonight and did so cleverly. Got the point across in such a way that nobody can fine him or call him out for what he said.

He's changing his game to fit with what Pep wants so he is on a learning curve: he has to judge when to pass and when to take defenders on.
Reminded me of Sterling trying to prove he was better than AWB, by constantly attempting to outrun him and failing! Once in a hole….

Yeah he seems stuck in two minds at times, but I’m sure that will come.

Poor first half, the lack of movement off the ball pathetic. So slow to get forward, too many needless passes sideways and backwards, get a f..king move on,seen more exciting chess games .

Rodri very good throughout i thought, second half was better in general.
Disappointed in Grealish's performance, he seemed uninterested or else incapable of taking his man on.
Himself and Cancelo could be a great outlet on the side but were a bit sloppy tonight at times

Goes unnoticed but Rodri has made that CDM position his, was compared to Busquets at atletico and this season he is 100 percent showing why there were those comparisons, amazing season so far, controls that midfield
He’s fantastic. My worry is that he’s going to burn out like he did last year though. 36 year old Dinho is his only backup and though an admittedly small sample size, he’s looked well over the hill.

Yes, I heard that too......

Clearly didn’t read my post then. If you had I’d said he’d done some good things but from central positions. Isolated out wide he struggled. Not sure why saying that creates such reaction.
