Agree - works well. Its an approach that is reliant on Trump having minimal input. The assumption is that the more Trump involves himself the more it turns off the moderate / swing voters and has a flip effect on Dem votes. Not sure how that would work in 2024 if Trump is the main candidiate but it could work well for this year and next. The GOP just need to hold ground and pick up a handful of key seats and they gain the balance of power. Frightening.

Give it a week or two, and Biden may have pulled off a master stroke of political engineering without a single Republican vote in the House or the Senate!!

The patience level of even the self-selected “smart people” is annoying, to say the least!

The midterms are next November. Biden has been President for less than a year and the Senate is, at best, 50-50. Give the guy a few months to breathe and you may see the biggest GAINS IN THE SOCIAL CONTRACT FOR GENERATIONS!!!

The biggest problem is that no-one is shouting about it because Manchin and Sinema keep changing their positions and no-one wants to box them in by BRAGGING about the social gains, as they’re the two most conservative Dems in the Senate!

The House would have passed $3T without blinking, but Manchin & Sinema are SO beholden to corporate money, they have to be seen to be holding out for the LEAST “SOCIAL” programs as possible! Manchin even changed his tune this week, with Biden out of the country, which is dirty pool!

He’s a prick who is siphoning money out of an energy company his son runs and his whole family makes $10Ms from ANNUALLY! He lives in a coal state that is quite conservative. He has held numerous Democratic offices in that state all the way up to Senator. He not only knows which side his bread is buttered, but who butters it! He’s a typical, corrupt, American politician more concerned about familial wealth than the working men and women of his own state who would go very, very well under this bill!!

It’s fucked, but it’s how it has to be in a 50-50 Senate!! If it was 53-47, Manchin & Sinema would have almost ZERO POWER!

So, Biden’s in his first year, he has done as much as he could TO DATE, and that could change EXPONENTIALLY in the ne t few weeks, a full year before the Midterms!

Once the Midterms turn out the way they always seem to do…gains for the Party not holding the White House, American politics will be consumed by how little Republicans allow the Democratic President to do…and then they run in 2024 on “the do-nothing Democrats!”

The Playbook has already been written, so it’s not a surprise to anyone!

IT IS THE REASON BIDEN HAS WORKED SO HARD TO GET THIS CURRENT LEGISLATION THROUGH CONGRESS IN HIS FIRST YEAR!!!

WAKEY WAKEY, RISE AND SHINE!!

This is why I say America is broken. It has stopped being about moving AMERICAN LIFE FORWARD, and become about who will have the power to shape America in its image for the future.

Will Republicans manage to gerrymander America into another generation of WHITE RULE AND FEAR OF OTHER or will Democrats be able to EMBRACE THE AMERICAN IDEAL OF IMMIGRATION CREATING A VIBRANT, STRIVING, MELTING POT AMERICA BUILT TO ENABLE ALL COMERS TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS?

THAT is the fight of the 21st century in America…a return to the 1776-1865 America or embracing the change of the 21st century?!
