Derby County - Rooney leaves with immediate effect (p69)

Been a few times watching us there in the past, first time in '77 when half a brick bounced off the coach window and took a chip out right where my eyes were, spat on from above behind the goals on another occasion.....pissed us about with Super Scott & have Rooney there.

Shame some other club were relegated last year while the authorities were sorting this all out.

Absolutely gutted for my son and my friends who support the Rams. He could have been like the rest of us in our family but he chose to support his local team for where we live nowadays. We will go to games when City aren't playing but the games will be next to pointless. It's sick. It's always the fans that suffer.

Reading were also docked -6 (plus -6 suspended) yesterday for breaching FFP, the Championship is an absolute basket case of a division with the amount of losses in incurs.

Listening to the Price of Football podcast yesterday and Mitrovic's new deal works out at about £96k a week, how the hell do the likes of Barnsley, Luton, Blackpool expect to compete with that.

Fulham this season are like the Harlem Globe Trotters, anything else but the title should be a failure.

They are fucked. This is what they owe.

£29M to HMRC
£20M to a US investment company
£15M to football creditors
£8.3M in outstanding players registration fees
£1M to a sports agency
£500,000 to a Polish agent
£60,000 to Paul Stretford (Rooney's agent)
£10,000 to The St John's Ambulance

Incredibly bad management. Apparently that £20M loan from the US investment company is as taken out in 2017 so they could buy players. The premise was they would get promoted within 3 years and pay it back with the premier league money.

Th closest they got was the 2019 play off final which they lost to Villa.

After that the investors started to call in the debts which they couldn't afford and its all downhill from there.

Some players are still on big money there.

Andre Wisdom is on £25K a week and Tom Lawrence is on £35k as thses contracts were done in 2017 with that £20M loan

Romney is on an absolute fortune! Remember when he became there manager all media around with a betting firm all over the place!
