Soucek, Dawson and Bowen were the only starters against Rapid from the line up v Wolves. Benrahma and Fornal came on with 25 mins to go, pretty much their second team.
Aren't Masuaka Yarmalenko, Lanzini, Areola, Coufel, Diop and Vlasic, regular first team players regardless of whether they played against Wolves

No, no, no, absolutely not, yes, no and he was intended to be but then they found out he's awful so since then, no.

Only 8 league starts between all the players you mentioned this season, and 7 of those were Coufal. Vlasic has one and the other five yet to start a league game.

That was definitely very much a second string XI.

For anyone travelling in by train tomorrow, I have just come back into Manchester travelling north and the trains are ok but lots of delays so allow yourself plenty of time guys !

Really looking forward to this match. Would be happy to see Cole Palmer get another start. Especially if Jack, kev and Phil missing. CTID

Should be a great footballing game, definitely a weekend highlight and one for the neutral to enjoy too.......so,naturally,the TV game is......Brentford V Everton!

Ffs they didn’t start against Wolves, that’s my point, the team they put out against Rapid was their second team apart from Soucek, Dawson and Bowen.

Anyone thinking this will be easy because they were in Europe, think again.

The hangover from Europa effects team no matter the team they put out.

Everyone else still has to travel, they still lose 3 days on the training pitch, they have 1 day to prepare for this game as opposed to 6.

I think they won their last 2 after a Europa game, but lost the 2 before that. So nothing is guaranteed, but we'll be better off for them having played in Vienna on Thursday.

Less worried about the Hammers midfield than I am about the threat of more DJ shite being pumped through before the game. Maybe I am a grumpy old git, but before the Palace game and then before the PSG game...I hate it - and thought it was interesting that the South Stand starting singing whilst it was blaring out with two embarrassed looking 'DJ's on the big screen. What's wrong with some nice montage video stuff (used to love that one set to the poem) and some music we actually sing to? Am I alone on this?? Yet another legacy fan wanting a rattle and a rosette and a Saturday 3pm kick off?
I think the poem reading was Tony Walsh. It set the tone pre match, stirring, with "Blue moon".

Very good points,

What is the point of Europa League shite.

Ffs, you grumpy ****! DiscoPants? Get that username changed pronto pal ;-)
Seriously though, much as I like the DJ we have and her music, I do have a long standing objection to any sort of continuous PA shite being pumped out onto the stands pre-match because it ruins the opportunity for any “organic” chanting & atmosphere to build up. I do like the DJ stuff played in the concourse though.

we need to start putting teams to bed early doors and control the game and take our chances when they come
west ham are no mugs and the longer they stay in the game the more they will grow and start to fancy getting something.

its the only little bit of stick i can give with this squad and team is we can find it hard to kill off games
maybe its the lack of a world class striker or the false 9 ? but big misses really can come back to bite you on the bum with teams like west ham

lets hope for early goals and 3.0 half time score ? then we has fans can then enjoy the game a little bit more
instead of popping a couple the blood pressure pills to settle us down
