You just had to take it that one step further.

I didn’t want to be on the forums, posting all day.

I didn’t want to have years of torment supporting City.

I just wanted to leap from tree to tree as they float down the might rivers of British Columbia.
That’s as may be, but are you OK?

Do you sleep all night and work all day?

Emmanuel Kant was a real pissant, who was very rarely stable.
Heidiger, Heidiger was a boozy beggar, who could think you under the table.
David Hume could out-consume Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel.
And Wittgenstein was a beery swine, who was just as schloshed as Schlegel.
There’s nothing Nietzsche couldn’t teach ya about the raising of the wrist.
Socrates himself was permanently pissed.
John Stewart Mill, of his own free will, on half a pint of shandy, was particularly I’ll.
Plato, they say, could stick it away. Half a crate of whiskey every day.
Aristotle, Aristotle was a bugger for the bottle.
Hobbs was fond of his dram.
And René Descartes was a drunken fart; I think, therefore I am.
Yes Socrates himself is particularly missed. A lovely little thinker, but a bugger, when he’s pissed!
and nobody expected the Spanish Inquisition.

What some on here don't know is that song was written and first performed by our very own @Bill Walker

More likely a chip-shop name .....
Treated myself today to a portion of fish & chips - £7.15. I used to have a pocket-money job in a chippy back in the early 60's. Fish 1/- , chips 6d (equivalent to 7.5p), 10,000% increase
If I worked a full day, they would feed me pie & chips, 2 rounds of bread & butter, a cup of tea with a woodbine.

In early 1976, a portion of chips was still only 6p.

But two very dry summers - '75 and '76 - put paid to that, and the price rocketed, and has, obviously, never been the same since.

You were lucky!
We used to dream of.......

Does anybody think Bobby Manc is gonna come and be Wreck it Ralph's puppet? Can't see it myself - his managerial career achievements dictate he can't be bought to be someone else's bitch

It is funny that the biggest club in the world, supported by more than tenth of the entire human population, has chosen as its messiah an old dude who hasn't actually worked in the specific profession recently. He had been content to take Russian tax payers' money for this retirement, but the best club in England has given him his first, and probably last, dealings with a 'big' club.

...because they are prepared to give him more of these 'dollars'?
Ahh, I guess as they earn their own money, they're entitled to do what they choose with it.
