Method actors! The Mormons are bitterly divided on vaccines and mask wearing, so that’s unsurprising…
Refund or future dates?
want to see it so try future dates

Not really since most people are just getting on with their lives:
Project fear are the people who won’t take the vaccines. That includes some footballers being paid ridiculous amounts of money who are responsible for fans travelling across the country only to have matches cancelled at short notice. It also includes people who don’t work but are happy to increase the risks for others.
A lot of the people claiming everyone else is living in fear can’t even create an atmosphere at a football match, otherwise the Etihad would be rocking for every home game.
They also seem to want stewards to get a hard time at home games by not filing in online forms that it takes 2 mins to complete.
Btw I’ve got a packed weekend of events including a Christmas do, work, 5 a side and 2 Premier League football matches. Some peole might restrict their activities in the run up to Christmas and that’s their choice.
I certainly wouldn’t pick any of them. Fans are getting cheated and iI’m even including the rags in that.Footballers refusing the jab want sacking, and that includes anyone at City.

Lots of athletes have been setting an example and we’ve had Nicola Adams (the boxer) volunteering at my local GP centre. A minority, including some footballers, are making mugs out of fans. Hopefully, the brainwashing isn’t affecting ethnic groups disproportionately like it was in the early days of the pandemic. They should also be setting an example.
Getting footballers to front a campaign telling people o get vaccinated would work wonders.
Especially the non-white ones.
It can be tough times but this latest wave will hopefully by the last major one of the pandemic. Fingers crossed we will be through this soon and the boosters will protect the overwhelming majority from serious illness:Feeling very negative this morning.
Today is my last day before finishing for Christmas. My entire feed and inbox is full of cancelled gigs yet again.
I can’t go through this endless cycle of shite again.
Reckon I’ll be looking for a new job after Christmas unless something rapidly changes for the better - just can’t be arsed with this never ending battle.
Glad you got through it mate. I'm in my 50s and overweight but got lucky when I caught it as apart from flooring me for a couple of days it wasn't too bad. I did have the trots fòr a bit too but I've had worse bouts of illness than that in the past. It just shows with your experience and being fitter than me that the effects on people can be totally random.I was in my 50s with no health conditions, work with the public day in day out all over country never thought I'd catch it believed it was like swine flu or bird flu and just be one of then stories on telly. The number of home's I visit where they've lost somebody to this disease is quite high, anybody thinks it's made up is off their trolley.
Same here, I'm pressing on with my travel and pub visiting as normal, happy to wear masks anywhere except when drinking and eating, will even put up with the dreaded table service if I have to if it keeps pubs open. Not really since most people are just getting on with their lives:

Chin up mate, it’ll all work out in the end.Feeling very negative this morning.

Think it's a balancing act with a lot of people as opposed to any real fear. Some are reducing their social activities as they don't want to catch it just before the festive break because it will make Christmas a write off for them. I'm still hoping to do Brentford away on the 29th. Got a Premier Inn booked and should be a top away day. Of course, with the number of games getting canned at the moment, it might not go ahead but if it does I don't want to test positive in the meantime! My boss is off to Dubai on the 28th with his wife. He has to go for a PCR on Boxing Day (as it's a condition of entry for Dubai) but he's got all the family round for Xmas dinner the day before and he's bricking it that he'll catch it either then or beforehand.Same here, I'm pressing on with my travel and pub visiting as normal, happy to wear masks anywhere except when drinking and eating, will even put up with the dreaded table service if I have to if it keeps pubs open.
Don't waste a single day.
Excuse the crap Craig David impression here, but my wife met up with some mates in town on Saturday. One of them started feeling naff and tested positive on Sunday. My wife then felt a bit off on Monday night before waking up ropey on Tuesday. She had an LFT on Tuesday morning. Negative. She did another later Tuesday evening and that was positive and then it was confirmed via PCR on Wednesday that she has it.
We think she's been Omicron'd as it's all throat based. Her smell and taste is fine, as is her breathing really. She's dead bunged up and has a really, really sore throat. She's basically lost her voice too. She's exhausted and a bit brain foggy.
Weirdly though, nowt for me so far. Loads of negative lft tests and one negative PCR. I'm fine today too. Though I have had a banging headache for a couple of days. A pressure one on one side. I'm convinced I've got it really, really mild but all the tests say nope.
We've not bothered separating so there's no way I've avoided it. Shared the same sofa in the evenings/bed at night etc. Baffles me how I've either not got it or it doesn't pick up. Especially given its almost certainly Omicron and we're both 'only' double jabbed so you think id have it too. Maybe I will and it's just coming on slowly or sumat.
Hope it's just a bad cold for you..like the tunes advert from the 80s..let's us know how you get on...Excuse the crap Craig David impression here, but my wife met up with some mates in town on Saturday. Hope you’re both ok mate.
Has it buggered your Christmas plans?

this is what is so bloody weird about this.
when emperor Whitty was telling us to prioritise events over Xmas because if you go out and catch it that could mean you could be self isolating over Xmas and changing your other Xmas plans with family and friends .
i would have thought a More appropriate message would be because these disease is very serious and deadly and you could be very ill.
but no he decided to go with the cancelling other Xmas plans due to self isolation.
It’s also feasible you’ve had asymptomatic covid relatively recently and got decent antibodies.Excuse the crap Craig David impression here, but my wife met up with some mates in town on Saturday. Agree that it's shit for hospitality and agree that Johnson is a bellend but I'm not sure what other message the leader of the country could've sent out regarding a rapidly spreading new variant. Nothing wrong with saying get your jabs and get your booster, and asking people to limit their social contacts where possible is just commonsense really. I'd expect pretty much every other government around the world to put out a broadly similar message. So much damage being done to the same sector of the economy yet again. Done by people who clearly dont care and who wont be suffering economically. Johnson has done Whitty up like a right kipper. Scared the populace into stealth lockdown with no support. I wonder if Whitty and all his colleagues were going to lose their livelihoods with no support they would be so keen to decimate an industry, i doubt it. We know the answer to Johnson he doesnt care less about anyone else apart from himself. Both so keen to paint the bleakest picture possible yet still only 12 people in hospital with Omricron. Whitty should have refused to get involved in the fools johnsons policies.
