They are increasing quite sharply in London though so unlikely it is that. More likely vaccination take up and booster take up I would have thought. 25% of Londonders are complete morons. We will know more in the next couple of weeks.
Fixed that for you.

No mate you should not call them cunts, but i do not think charging them ignoring Government advice should be ruled out, but that raises another problem how many of them are already private patients?
I'm good with the calling them cunts.

FAR too much political correctness and farting about with "peoples' rights". Just round the twats up, stick needles in them and be done with it. Anyone would think we were talking about mandatory limb amputations or something. It's a fucking injection FFS. People just need to get on with it (unless some valid medical excuse, which probably applies to about 0.01% of the population not 20%).

And BTW, re footballers. Clubs should just say getting your twatting self vaccinated right now, or you don't train, you don't play and you don't mix. Oh and you're on the transfer list.

Maybe we could. Maybe National Insurance should be like insurance with terms. If you leave your keys in the car and it’s nicked, you pay for it yourself. If you don’t take similar precautions with your health pay for it yourself. If injured driving pissed or you don’t vaccinate pay for it yourself.

All these unvaccinated morons’ principles go out of the window when hit with it. Suddenly they will be happy to be treated with medicines produced as quickly as the vaccine by the same companies.
Do you really think the people in the concentration camps in Australia or confinement in Austria and Germany will be so easily swayed, it is a good idea but only to take away one of the chemical companies angles of attack

I think the Pope just called you a Nazi, going to love seeing you run round in circles trying to kick your self up the arse because your one of the 30% it does not work on:)

Can open as many as they want, but they’re pointless if they don’t have the staff to run them. They don’t have enough staff to run the existing hospitals in London, apparently.
Couldn't they use Nightingales for the 10,000 bed-blockers who apparently don't need emergency medical care. They could be staffed by volunteers eg nursing students, medical students etc. Or were they just a political stunt?

Not getting vaccinated is fucking inexcusable mate. Completely moronic and inexcusable.

It's not about personal choice, it's about civic responsibility. New variants are spawned in unvaccinated populations. Unvaccinated people spread the disease to the vulnerable.

People cannot "choose" to drive their car whilst pissed. We have a law against it because it's fucking irresponsible and kills innocent people. Same fucking thing. Anyone who isn't getting vaccinated (with no medical reason) is just as much a **** as a drunk driver.

As I mentioned in the data thread, we need to monitor the numbers being admitted because of Omicron and, more importantly, the numbers being admitted to ICU and requiring oxygen.

On a separate point, with so many people testing positive and so many more presumably asymptomatic/not testing officially, there will very quickly be a phenomenal amount of anecdotal information doing the rounds that the symptoms are manageable and, for the overwhelming majority, do not require hospitalisation. That in turn will make it much more difficult for the government to introduce further restrictions and will also see growing numbers of people cock their snook at the ones in place. Going to be a difficult situation to manage.

They’ve got our trust though…

With Johnson’s popularity plummeting quicker than Felix Baumgartner from space, I can see some last-ditch severe measures being put in place in the new year in order to regain a bit of favour. Firstly, a two-week firebreak lockdown. Secondly mandatory jabs for all.

It’s almost guaranteed with the new Brexit related laws coming in on Jan 1st.

It’s not a uniquely British thing. The Dutch rolled them out as well but never used them. It’s not really ‘political’, more a case that governments everywhere (China included) need to be seen to be doing something; their publics are more assured by action than inaction, even if that action is futile and just wasting their money.

We already don’t have the numbers of properly trained staff to care for masses of people in regular ICUs, but the reasons for that are probably more political.

The last 3 variants were brought into this country by fully vaccinated people, in Sweden they had a party for a 1,000 people to get in you had to be fully vaccinated and complete a flow test on entering and exiting, and still 60 people caught it, Belgium had the most severe lock down and after, the worst rates Gibraltar has given more that 3 doses per person and their rates rose as well. coverage of the jab is 95 days maximum natural coverage is 6 to 8 months, and the chemical companies have just discovered why the more you take the less it works, Coetzee has repeatedly said Omicron is mild like a strong cold, they are up to 4 weeks ahead of us, you can believe the chemical companies PR if you like but the Omicron cold with up to 8 months coverage and no chance of dying from the little prick looks the better option.

Yet another lockdown will help his popularity? If anything the reverse is true. We've all complied for almost two years, had three jabs, listened to all "It's only temporarily " etcetera and now enough is enough. As seen by the drop in socialising people are capable of policing themselves. I want any government in this country to meddle and dictate to me as little as possible. They're never going to relinquish these powers now they're in place that much is obvious. Life is a risk, we've done all we can to minimise that risk, if people want to have a drink, go to a match then it should be their choice.
