private patients go in to hospital based on money not need
They go in because they need hospital treatment, they don't go in for a holiday. You could turn the whole of the private hospital beds over to the NHS tomorrow and you would still have the same number of patients in total. The private ones made up of the wealthy, insurance based ones, company policy ones etc still need treatment. You might push them to the back of the queue but that queue is according to your figures still 6 million.

The last 3 variants were brought into this country by fully vaccinated people, in Sweden they had a party for a 1,000 people to get in you had to be fully vaccinated and complete a flow test on entering and exiting, and still 60 people caught it, Belgium had the most severe lock down and after, the worst rates Gibraltar has given more that 3 doses per person and their rates rose as well. coverage of the jab is 95 days maximum natural coverage is 6 to 8 months, and the chemical companies have just discovered why the more you take the less it works, Coetzee has repeatedly said Omicron is mild like a strong cold, they are up to 4 weeks ahead of us, you can believe the chemical companies PR if you like but the Omicron cold with up to 8 months coverage and no chance of dying from the little prick looks the better option.
Oh sorry, let's not bother then. Don't know what all the fuss is about.

FFS.

I’m due to go to London with the family tomorrow for a couple days. Both my boys have been positive a few week ago and my Mrs has had it recently. Really debating to go or not now. The lads will be gutted as we had loads of activities booked. I’m not sure what to do for the best.

Another step towards lockdown

they don’t need to lock us down , just tried to get to london today from Stockport lots of the trains cancelled including ours As lots of staff off.

this is Manchester airport

there will be loads of people with this and off work, lotsnofmpressure on the system.

Re lockdown at the moment they are in a great position for them

Boris keep restaurants and bars open but emperor Whitty says don’t go out - bingo lockdown by stealth and boris doesn’t have to give the poor fuckers dosh.

The problem you've got is whilst there's so many people unprepared to follow the advice given the liklihood of restrictions being lifted gets less and less.
Wouldn't it be nice if, to a man the whole country decided to just do as they're told for a couple of weeks. No moaning about their lives being taken over by government hell bent on taking away your liberties or other bullshit we often hear.
Just simply get vaxxed, wear a mask, keep to social distance rules and follow hygiene advice and then in 2/3 weeks see if it's made a difference.
If not then people can rightly start to push back but until we've actually given it a proper go we will never know what works or not.
Sadly I don't think the UK public would ever come together as one. That ship has sailed so its likely to go on in a similar vein as it is now for a long long time.

Given it a proper go?
Did you miss the two times we tried it for months on end?

Cosmetic surgery and a lot of other operations can go to the back of the line, i had three friends die during lock down they were put down to COVID but they had cancer and were put back multiple times

But not everybody did. That's my point. There have been instances throughout of dickheads flaunting the rules. From the very first until the most recent.

We’ve just come back from 2 days there. On the plus side, the train there and back was empty, mask wearing was almost 100%, pretty quiet for London just before Xmas. On the negative, stuff is being cancelled by the minute. The show we had booked for Thursday night was cancelled with very short notice.

90,418 cases. Down 2627 on yesterday. Nice surprise.

Though much of that due to no Wales data on Saturdays.

England down just 1267

But how can you expect people to do what government says when they dont themselves?

Oh, to inhabit this magical world where everyone does exactly what Phil1 wants. What a ridiculous point.

Playing devils advocate here. The public were told to get vaxxed which they have done. They were told to then get a booster which they have done. This was what we were told was required to have no further lockdowns, if they don’t actually work to prevent them, then you can see why people will be pissed off. If the vaccines can’t prevent future variants from infecting everyone again, then what’s the end game?

it was suggested at the start the vulnerable isolate and everyone else carries on, is this where we will get to when there is a new outbreak?
