I would. Pogba was in a winning team at Juventus and had offers from other winning teams when he decided to go back to United, who had gone only three years at that time without a Prem title.
He certainly didn't anticipate another five years of nothing coming after it.
My argument with regard Haaland and his ambition is quite simple. He would be joining a vastly superior team in City than Madrid.
He would be joining a vastly superior league.
He would be playing for the best manager in the game.
All those points above could be applied to Liverpool, certainly if you are a Liverpool fan!
I don't think it is a question of what he gets paid that will decide the outcome.
It will come down to what is best for his football right now, his father has said as much.
I just happen to believe if his ambition is about football in the here and now, then City are more attractive than Madrid, without obviously the things Madrid's exposure offers him, coupled with an incredible lifestyle.
While I would agree on all of that and it would all seem to make sense even without blue tinted specs on, there surely is the money factor.....in particualr
1. Wages that are on offer
2. Money that will be given to Raiola as part of his cut
3 Potentially money that will be given to Alfie as part of his cut.....
Surely this will all be a deciding factor as well....and in these terms this is where we could lose out as the likes of Madrid esp will offer more and that coupled with the allure Madrid has for players as a club and as a place to live gives them an edge.
I believe other clubs will also offer more in terms of the 3 things above...prem clubs such as Chelsea (and they have the pull of lving in London - though for me its a shit hole no matter where you live!) will offer more than us and will give mino his fat wedge without a second thought as would Utd....though their footbaling project is at present no existent so that should count them out.
The dark horse is the red scousers...they have the money and a manager while who not as universally as popular as Pep nor anywhere near as successful has a PR team who must work wonders for him to be frank .....Liverpool is a shit hole as well and they have a certain "iistory la" or so they and the media will lead you to beleive that again seems attractive (for some reason)
For me however its between us Chelski and obviously Madrid....if he goes anywhere this summer.
If he stays another year then its open season as the footballing landscape changes so quickly other teams could be in prime position
The only reason i see him not coming to us is us not stumping up the cash to those necessary (not the transfer fee but other fees elsewhere)...other than that for Haaland surely its just a question of how long Pep is going to be at city if he signs say a 4-5 year contract...will Pep be there for all of that...I seriously doubt he would be.
