Made me laugh when they started singing about us not singing just after the first 10 mins when all you could hear was City fans before that.

To be fair that was retaliation for Fern standing on his feet. Both parties were well outside of the rules so, as long as no serious damage was done, better to leave it.
I did wonder if Fern's actions were in retaliation to the foul by Toney on Dias.

Thickness of the lines makes no difference. The whole of the area behind the leading edge of each could be blocked out - it's where the leading edge ends that counts.

If you can see any of the attacker's overlay showing past the last part of the defender's that's the indicator.

Of course, where the leading edge is drawn from is the key issue.

If you take Laporte's offside tonight, if both lines are the thickness of the ball and, for argument's sake, start at the armpit of each player, then both lines will merge/overlap at some point, therefore it's onside.

Considering the well publicised budget I’d say it needs highlighting, well run club who are punching above their weight

Brilliant hard earned three points! We were up for the physical battle and whatever they had to throw at us. We were excellent in the second half we didn't give them anything to let them get the crowd behind them.
Phil and Kevin were very good tonight especially Phil. Well in Nathan Ake too he was outstanding.

Two games in 3 days. One sub made in 180 mins. Brentford nick one and we question why one wasn’t made and why a 36 year old Fernandinho played all them minutes too. You cannot complain about fixture pile ups and Xmas schedule whilst advocating 5 subs and doing that. Simple.
