I think that's true. I am still wary of the motivation of this Liverpool team. I think this could be Liverpool's last season as a title-challenging team and in Allison, Van Dijk and Salah they have genuine world-class players who lift the quality of their side. A big trophy like the League title, or Champions League, would give them the revenue to renew, so I want this side beaten.

Hitherto, I had regarded Chelsea as the stronger squad. They had one flaw, they lacked goal-scoring power and I thought that in Lukaku they had acquired a player who could solve that but it doesn't seem to have worked and injuries and Covid have hurt them badly. I am not sure whether Tuchel has mis-managed them. He has very publicly stated that his club has a mission impossible on its hands and I think he has given his players excuses to fail before they have done so. Klopp does this too.

They are both very strong sides. At the moment, for this season, I now think Liverpool are the bigger threat so I would like a Chelsea win. The one negative to that result is that we play them again soon and I don't want to play a revitalised Chelea. Overall I want Chelsea to crush Liverpool but this is a day we can not lose.

Only thinking for someone to vote for the scousers is it then become a two horse race only but saying that a draw has them both dropping 2 points so a draw is the vote and why it’s miles ahead.

It was the killing of 39 Juventus fans that prevents me from ever wanting Liverpool to win. Some things are bigger than football.

I'd rather have a three horse race with two horses further behind, than a two horse race with one closer. Particularly if that one is liverpool. I can't see how them getting all 3 points can in any way be a good thing.
