BT Sport commentary v Arsenal (A)

The third day and they can't let our win at Arsenal go, strange! I gave up on a serious football punditry a long time ago, I just turn to Spanish streams and it helps in improving my Spanish at least.
The only two ex-football players turned pundits I really like and can learn something about the game I watch by listening to them are Nedem Onuoha (sometimes on ESPN) and Liam Rosenior, but he is now with Derby. But even Micah painted Nedem as a complete nerd, so he'll never end up on a mainstream TV in the UK.

It isn't and won't be measured on success, quality of football, brilliance of players etc.

It will be measured based on who has the most plastic twats accessing their online output.

Likes, Clicks and Mentions - that's the barometer for success for the current media twats covering our national sport.

It's astonishing that they get away with it.
Clickbait isn't going away anytime soon, whether it's football or politics, distorting the truth for evermore unfortunately.

I’ve had enough of all this tosh about a one-sided League etc. which BT Sport and others have been putting across (As well as all that other ridiculous stuff). If you’re looking for evidence then take a look at this article.

Hopefully, this helps to paint the true picture by using history, facts & evidence in this free to read article:

Thanks for that Gary, great to read. My takeaway, to use as needed will be the decade comparisons; 5 different winners in 10 years is the killer there.

I’m the wrong side of 60yrs but I swear to god I’m staying around to watch this happen.
Me too!! What sweet karma it will be. I have always subscribed to the proverb 'revenge is a dish best served cold'. It will happen, I am long enough in the tooth to have witnessed on a number of occasions in my former professional life. And like cold custard it is eminently satisfying .

This was judged ok on BT because he let go in time! It should have been a penalty but was barely looked at. Couple of replays and then move on to waxing lyrical about how Arsenal were a much improved team from when we beat them earlier in the season bu5 no mention of the fact they had 10 men for a long time

In the last 4 seasons there have been winning margins or 18, 17 and 12 points, which since 3 points for a win are 3 of the highest six with 18, 12 and 13 points however the last one was a 42 game season.

So in terms of winning margin the PL is becoming less competitive looking at 40 seasons of 3 PPW.
