Fear that we are going to get sucker punched here Chelsea who as usual against us are just packing their defence (pathetic really in view of how much their team cost) and waiting for the once chance.
We are playing well without creating a lot. Grealish had to score.
I'm fine with losing a game occasionally while playing this good.

If it is goaless and we get to the last fifteen mins then we had better be switched on as that is when they will have a right go

Early subs if needed pep , switch out jack for gundy or gabby at least

Pretty please

We had two great low crosses into the box one by Foden other one maybe Sterling and absolutely no one inside where a top striker would arrive to smash it. just a big empty space with 2 Chelsea defenders clearing it.

problem is Jesus isnt anywhere near clinical to turn these into goals.

but at least he scored the goal from a deflected shot in last Chelsea game.

we played much better imo in that game than today s far, we did create some great shots in that game and forced Mendy to pull off some top saves.

Grealish's only chance was them giving it away and Grealish not able to do a calm finish on it.

still worried they make one good break and score from it, dont want this to be a first on target shot = 1 goal for them.

come on City!
Them giving it away was from our press. We want them to try playing out from the back and they will get caught a few more times.

Grealish should have burst the net with that. We have to take our chances.

Doing ok...but need a bit more bite and killer instinct,a bit more substance.

I feel Gundogan for Kev would give us the missing edge,as,with a reshuffle...it would also allow Bernie to find more space and weave more magic.

Sterling has had his best 45 in a long time, well done.

Why isn’t Foden on the wing? He made a fantastic run through their whole team but no one in the box for the cross.

I’m glad Tuchel never ended up at the swamp. He’s got them well organised and they move the ball well. They are looking to pounce on one chance then shut up shop. We had great chances at 34 and 37 minutes that Aguero would have relished.
just waiting for Mount, Havertz or Hudson-Odoi to ghost in for their one chance in the 2nd half whilst we prat about. We don't have many options on the bench in comparison.

Can’t get my head around KDB at the moment, his radar continues to be alarmingly off, not discounting the catch up of injuries and Covid but his short game, never mind long, has been atrocious for a while, the 3 of Rodri, Bernardo and gundo so much more effective!
True, but he still has the odd moment of match winning brilliance, but we have too many passengers with him and Grealish, one of the two is ok

Kev pressing better than I’ve seen him for a while though.

Starting to think Grealish should have hit that shot first time. Think he's in the kind of mood at the moment where he's playing things a bit safe and wanting to make absolutely sure, so he takes that touch to set himself. But that first touch takes him a bit too close to Kepa and gives him time to make himself big. If Grealish hits it as he walks onto it he's got an entire half of the goal to aim at, but because he's not quite balanced yet and because he's a bit low on confidence he's taken a touch thinking it'll increase his chances when it's actually narrowed the space and time he's got to score.

We all forget about it because he left years ago, but Dzeko used to go through phases like this. He'd go through bad spells without a goal, or where his performances were just total rubbish, and it'd get to the stage where he'd end up trapping it further than most defenders clear it. Navas was the same towards the end of Pellegrini's reign as well, where he'd be through on goal but would just want that extra touch, that extra bit of time. Grealish has got more natural ability with his feet than Dzeko and Navas, and he's younger than they both were while they were at City, so it'll come with a bit of time.

Jack is doing ok. Switch him with Foden for the second half. See if we have more impact in the final 3rd.

I personally think you only need one of KDB or Grealish in the side at any one time.

I would have had Gundogan on for one of them.

Give us more of a presence in the middle.

I think Grealish would prefer KDB position.

He will come good when he finds his form.
