Agreed. Clearly has a lot talent, but I watched him against Chelsea last year and the kid couldn't deal with the pace of the game they played at.
Grealish, McAtee, Palmer, Kev, Foden, already cover the false nine option.
Mendes is clearly planting the seed of a back up option if we don't sign Haaland.
Id rather Lewandowski if he’s available. Bayern will sell if he doesn’t sign a new deal. That should be our back up to Haaland.

I hope he realises it’s a post pandemic, poor performing £100m man he is smelling as he can’t be near that price now surely, I think he is being pushed towards us but not sure we will bite this time round - we would have jumped last time but I’m guessing we are looking at the higher profile option

Part of the myth of Felix’s semi failure there is always to blame Simeone’s style, but it was under him that Griezmann (who is a very similar player to the Portuguese) became a worldclass talent. I think even Griezmann would do better in the PL physicality aside...Honestly, I would rather go back for Kane if that was the case, Felix has never even scored 10 goals in a season in Spain, and we want to bring him to a much more physical league.

Didn't he score 20 goals in his opening season at Atletico? Only four this year.

Honestly, I would rather go back for Kane if that was the case, Felix has never even scored 10 goals in a season in Spain, and we want to bring him to a much more physical league.

Year after he had 7 plus another 3 in the CL, so 10 total
And as you said 4 this year.

At that sort of level I would be happy with a pint on him, let him come in on a lower salary and prove his worth - we can still go for a Haaland type as well.

I would miss him but he’s our 3rd choice RW and doesn’t want to play Striker.
Joao Felix has the technical and physical ability to play the false 9 role perfectly and he can play off a striker or on the wings if Haaland joins.
Simeone would love Jesus and he’d get to lead the line for a massive club competing in the CL every season which is as good as it gets away from City.
