I rustle up a very good Malaysian Mancunian red curry with French fries and a plate of Thai/Glaswegian rice.

Jerk Chicken however is racist and I wont touch it :)

How the fuck can you be fended by a plate of food?

Recipee insensitivity?

Are human beings literally losing the plot or are we being spoon fed shit like this by a small few who are desperate to make stories like this a thing?
Yhp, he got a hammering by the indignant a while back for some recipe or other that wasn't "authentic". Think he does an unauthentic green thai curry as well which is nicer than any of the chilli cream chicken on offer at any Thai restaurant.

I think there is a lot of stuff being blown out of proportion but I'm a majority so don't need to be protective of my culture.

I think it is important to consider that some people do think differently and want to protect the things they feel attached too. Authenticity is important.

Just think about the fuss we get everytime we change a kit. Now imagine City decided to relocate to Liverpool. The outrage we would feel might not be understandable from people who aren't City fans BUT it is real.

Of course if Jamie Oliver is just trying to look trendy and woke then he is an idiot who causes problems for the people he is claiming to help.

I do know from speaking to people from different cultures that they are proud and protective of food and recipes. For example I remember someone I know commenting on some supermarket meal that purported to be from the Caribbean but had the wrong ingredients in it. Not an issue to me but I can understand and respect why it is for her.
