Neil Young demands Spotify remove his music.

Surely a more grown up approach would be for Spotify users simply to not listen to one or the other, or listen to both if they wish? I normally avoid stuff I don't want to listen to by not listening to it - never felt the need to go beyond this and ask for things to be removed or banned tbh. Who is Neal young btw? Jo Rogan is that bloke that takes horse wormer to cure aids I think.

Missing the point entirely.

How precious. ;-)

He scored the winning goal in the 1969 cup final...

Good on him for taking a stand against morons!

Interesting.

I used to listen to the odd episode of Rogan’s podcast before it went to Spotify, depending on who the guest was. I found him a fun listen if I’m honest.

Has he really gone down an anti-vax rabbit hole???

I’m not on Spotify, I use Apple Music for my streaming needs so I’ve not listened to anything from him since he stopped publishing his podcasts on his old feed.

Neil Young has had it in for the streaming services - Spotify in particular - since day one and I can’t say I really blame him.

Neil Young doesn’t need the money and doesn’t want his fans spending money on a Spotify subscription that feeds Joe Rogan.

If they want Neil on Spotify, they have to get rid of the fount of misinformation, Joe!

Simple.
If no one watches rogans podcasts on Spotify they will soon wither away. Maybe young needs to do the same with YouTube where he shares a much bigger platform with Rogan. He won't though because even he realises that Rogan is too big a draw for YouTube to go along with his book burning/ de platforming crusade. I wonder if he has an album or tour to promote......

Don't know what your gripe is with NY and don't care.
But I admire someone whose prepared to lose a lot of income (he probably earns at least a million bucks a year from Spotify) for the sake of his principals.

Joe Rogan has a wide variety of very interesting guests on his podcast. I don't listen for him, I listen to his guests, I much prefer 2-3 hour discussions vs 3 minute soundbites on the news. In the last 2 weeks, Josh Szeps had a good rebuttal to some of his COVID opinions on a recent episode, which adds balance to the debate. His episode with General H.R Mcmaster educated me on the history of the middle East, Oliver Stone had a fascinating discussion with Joe over his new JFK documentary. We shouldn't be cancelling everything that has a different outlook on life, as time proves the truth is usually somewhere in the middle of those shouting loudest on both sides.

As far as I have seen no one is trying to cancel Joe Rogan

Don't care how many great goals he scored for city in the 60's. I'd be just as annoyed if buzzer or Franny started trying to dictate Spotify content.
