Liverpool will have to fit in 3 games, they are two Covid games behind and the Carabou cup final weekend will be another, they have to fit them in somewhere, if we both go deep in the fa cup then the semi final weekend will add another, I think Spurs will have a big say in it, they play Liverpool 3 games from the end as long as we keep winning I think they are barring Liverpool our toughest games. Chuck in United for both teams and it’s going to be tight, ye I know they aren’t all that but they seem to turn up at our place. I just hope we don’t have to win everyone one like the 17/18 season that run in was bloody awful.
18/19.....17/18 was a doddle!!

That's why 538 gives us 83 % chance to win the league. If things go as usual, we win. If something incredible happens, it happens, and we move on. This team is fantastic and is likely to win trophies. Not everything will go our way, but hopefully we win the PL and/or the CL.

We'll never hear the end of it if they win the PL after being 8 points behind (Well, they will include the 2 extra games we played over them at some points and make it as though the gap was 14 points )

That's true, some unlikely shit may happen, but even if it happens, we'll move on and continue to get better and better as a club. Ours is probably the best run club in the world.

That said, I'm optimistic about the team and the season. PL or not, we are going to win the CL, imo :) Think some fantastic performances in the 1st half of the season indicated the high levels this team can reach. We fight to the end.

Our remaining games-
H- Brentford
A- Norwich
H- Spurs
A- Everton
H- Utd
A- Palace
H - Brighton
A- Burnley
H- Liverpool
A- Wolves
H- Watford
A- Leeds
H- Newcastle
A- WHU
H- Villa

I see 10 wins but 5 tricky games as follows, which we could win however,

Spurs at home I think we will win, however they can perform when they want to. Crowd need to be up for this as they do for all our home games. Win for us.
United always raise their game against us. Could they scrape a draw, I'd like to think not.Win for us.
Wolves away, they are a good team and this could be a draw. Draw.
WHU is tricky however they are right at the end of the season and it could be over. Draw.
Liverpool at home is key and a must win for them. They will be well up for it. Will they win all their remaining 16 games , I don't think so. This could well be a draw which is good for us.

The key is that of our next 8 games we must treat them all as a Cup Final. Get the wins against Spurs and Utd and we will be well set for the Liverpool game.

Tricky games can come at any point and often not who we’d expect them to be against.

These teams have beaten us over the last few years:
Palace x2
Leicester
Newcastle
Norwich
Wolves x2
Southampton
Leeds
Brighton

We could beat Spurs United Wolves and West Ham in easy strolls to wins, but it could be Norwich Palace Burnley and Villa that are most tricky and where we drop points.

As we’ve seen recently, Chelsea was just about the easiest game we’ve had of late (I thought they were bloody awful!). Southampton were tougher to face both home and away than Chelsea home and away.

I used to do this kind of analysis searching for 40 points ;-)

Haha very true. Isn’t it so much more fun studying fixtures and the table for hours on end these days. You can’t really put a price on the warm feeling you get inside from looking at the table and seeing 1. Man City at the top of the page :-)
