Quoting American sports franchises as a model to follow shows a total lack of understanding how sports teams(they are almost exclusivity not having a history of being developed as a result of the franchise model) in the UK and Europe had developed over time, in fact attendance wise the NBA and NHL both aren't eye opening and while the NFL post strong numbers that's largely based on the fact they are playing around 10 home games a season(including pre-season and possible post season minus international "home" games).I don't think they would get bored. It might be the best thing for the clubs in it but it's definitely not the best thing for football.
Any club deemed worthy of being allowed to join the ESL are without doubt, capable of challenging for trophies every season. Whether the club is well run or not to actually do that is a separate issue.Easy to say that as a City fan who competes for trophies every year. For the other clubs it is.

Quick question. Did you support the original idea of the Super League where there was no promotion or relegation and the likes of the rags would be included just because of the advertising revenue they bring ?
