Formula 1 2022

Working at McDonalds I think. He’s still got Ronalds trousers on in the pic…

Quite funny from Karen Horner.

Fwiw this information has always been out there

Quite, this seems to be rehashing for no real effect, and Damon Hill has told the excitable Tweeter as much.

Benson's last line was interesting (and he's usually a pretty dreadful writer):
"It is believed Masi took the decisions he did because he was trying to accede to an agreement made with the teams that races should not finish under the safety car if at all possible."

I hadn't heard of that agreement before now.

That last line has been around for a long time too. I don’t think anyone has disagreed with that sentiment, it’s his actions before he released the safety car that’s the issue. If he wanted to not finish under safety car, then he needed to leave all cars as they were, not allow the three through that he did.

The radio transmissions are not new - they were on a video released by Formula 1 on 16 December, four days after the race - but the one from Wheatley appears to have missed general circulation in the storm that followed
Unless I'm missing something I believe it is on the radio video released on YouTube back in December

The BBC said in their article that it was published on Dec 16th but not really picked up on by the media or anyone.

If you click on that tweet and read the comments both Damon Hill and Will Buxton have made the point that it isn't new footage. Not exactly a smoking gun as such but it still doesn't sound great.

It came out the day after Mercedes’ appeal was thrown out which was convenient. Nothing will come of it now, they got the ending they wanted.

And also on the day Red Bull revealed their car!

It looks to be all from one of the Twitterati Mercedes fan, and that one tweet has been picked up by lots of others. The idea that no-one in the Mercedes legal team had noticed it is laughable.
