Sporting CP (A) - Post-Match Thread

So clinical tonight which we haven’t always been - Bernie superb - watched with my lad who is a blue but tinge of sadness as he had trials with Sporting when he was 10.

getting lots of text messages from sporting fans complimenting City on their footy - that doesn’t happen with the rag fans of Portugal Benfica
Despite all the goals we do score, we are shit in front of goal, the most wasteful football team there’s ever been!

But tonight, we really were clinical for once.

Just a perfect evening. Who cares what non City fans or stations say ( BT were actually very good tonight). Our team were special tonight. Sadly it won’t be always as good as this so we need to enjoy it.
(At least till the team v Spurs is announced then I’ll start fretting)

Be careful mate, there's folk on here who seem to think that Sporting were good and see anyone saying otherwise as being 'disrespectful'.

They didn't deserve to be on the same pitch as City.
No. We're not Rags or dippers. If you look at the game Sporting actually started off half decent and had a few nice moments but nothing substantial. City were just outstanding.
I doubt Sporting are shite but we are a couple of levels above and they did finish above Dortmund which is no mean feat.

Sometimes in the past our football has been sublime but we have missed big chances, tonight, first half we were a bit sloppy with some of our passing but were deadly in front of goal. This is one fantastic team to watch.

What a goal by Bernardo Silva...!

The guy is a genuine world class player and we should be doing everything to make sure he stays.....
Foden, Sterling Cancello all class again as well

Away goal doesn't exist, still need to focus and win the match at home.

I think we can go into the home leg confident and comfortable, yes we need to turn up and be professional. But there shouldn't be any circumstance in which we give away a 5-goal lead.
