Russian invasion of Ukraine

I was sceptical that there would be a war, but it’s unlikely that they would undertake such an enormous evacuation effort unless they were expecting such. Will probably kick off in the next day or two, but will perhaps be confined to the Donbass region where Russia would be practically invited in by the local population. I think Russia will repeat the strategy that worked for them in Crimea by sending unmarked soldiers to support local separatists. I don’t think we’ll see 100k soldiers marching on Kiev.

Self proclaimed leader of the 'Donetsk People's Republic' is claiming Kiev have launched a full scale war on the province according to russian media.

US media announcing Biden going to make a statement shortly "Updating the people on the crisis."

I wouldn't be surprised if he claims Russian troops are in there and gives Vlad an ultimatum. Hopefully I'm wrong and it's the start of an olive branch communications.

I hate war and the cunts in whatever side that are happy to start them. Safe in the knowledge it's not them or their families losing people.

I also despise the various media outlets who are stroking their dicks in anticipation of one.

Ukraine have some serious hardware and an Army thats been built up since the troubles from a few years back now concentrated in the south east of Ukraine,i can only see a full scale attack from the North,East and up from Crimea which will basicaly isolate them,whats around the corner i dont know mate but Nato cant sit and watch this

NATO will sit and watch it. They will provide materiel to Ukraine and impose sanctions on Russia but there is absolutely no chance NATO troops will be shooting at Russians. That would be the start of WW3 and that’s not going to happen.

Hope the Russians protect Donetsk and Luhansk from the American and England Backed Ukrainian aggression.

Saying you know Russia will invade after Russia has amassed countless troops and weapons of war on the border is hardly saber rattling from Joe Biden.

Maybe it's because I grew up during the Cold War or maybe it's that Putin has a history of poisoning/jailing those who disagree with him I have a hard time believing anything I hear from Russia. Hell, they can't even compete at the Olympics without lying and cheating.

I grew up in it as well. Albeit to wards the end and from a UK perspective.

However I have a healthy cynicism to both sides.

Ironically, some of the political tactics instigated by Putin have been adopted by both the US and UK.

Sadly I'll be in the next life when the truth about all of this is released as historical records.

You'll also have grown up with the war on terror then and experienced US manipulation of the facts? This is the problem with what is at present a propaganda war - we are probably being fed two lines of bollocks that both contain elements of the truth.
