Russian invasion of Ukraine

Fucking hell, fair play to her.

These are the kind of images that make me believe Russia won't achieve anything but severely damaging their world standing.

On the flipside he let her talk and walk off, now of he had hit her with his rifle or shot her a vissible act of a war crime would be there, while they are showing restraint in these situations russia can keep the peacekeer narrative going back home and tbf I have no idea what either was saying would be nice to know what was said.

Their reputation is shot to shit but how they behave on the ground will be what putin needs to keep those not sanctioning him to be convinced.

He prefers a potion, doesn't he?

Which is why I never click on their articles, news or football.

Putin is unhinged the best thing people close to him can do is a coup, get rid of the fucker.

There’s no way conscription would work now.

Ask all under 40s if they’d fight for their country and I reckon about 5% would.

All this WWII stuff is just bluster by people that didn’t experience it. You'd have to be 85+ to remember any of it.
No need. We would be looking at mass vaporisation.

I'm 34, reasonably fit and wouldn't describe myself as a coward...but like fuck would I volunteer to get shot at.

I'm running the opposite way haha.

Exactly. It’s not cowardice. It’s fucking common sense.

All the fighting does is determine your country’s position on the negotiation table at the end of the war.

I'm amazed Russia hasn't taken out the Ukraine mobile phone and Internet infrastructure All these videos will do NOTHING for Russia in the West.

Fair enough. Which war did you fight in and how was it? Though I'd still wager most agreeing with you haven't.

If there is a global conflict do you believe that you shouldn't get involved even if there is an obvious threat from an aggressor (This case Putin) ? IF and I don't believe we will get to that point, conscription is brought in then choices will be limited, helping the war cause will happen even if that is in farming or building hardware for the cause.

If the shit hits the fan people will be put in uniform kicking and screaming.

I have seen both the East Germans and the Russians first hand, I am not saying I am big and brave far from it but I understand that there was a job to do.

I firmly believe that it wont get that far, but IF it did turn into a global conflict where we are DIRECTLY threatened conscription will work, it wont work if you conscript people to man a western front etc.

I've got all the respect in the world for those who sign up to join the military as a career choice...but it's not for me.

Maybe as an officer, Blackadder style, but even he dies in the end (plot spoiler).

I think they no longer give a shit about the West.

Our leaders have shown us to be completely weak and ineffective at stopping this. They'll just be trying to manage the fall out.

You first mate, I'm right behind you honest.

What percentage sign up to serve their country and what percentage sign up because they need a job at 16/18?

I think we’re pretty much aligned in view of the military. Total respect; Not for me.
