Russian invasion of Ukraine

It's like being in a club and the tension is building. There have been a couple of skirmishes and posturing. Some people think it's under control but you just know at any minute the whole club is going to go up. It's on a crazy downward spiral nobody can stop. That's the world right now.

This is what happens when someone doesn’t agree with you.

The face of the caring left, right up until the point they feel you don’t 100% agree and then the insults start flying lol.

He didn't just not agree, he disagreed without even reading what was posted. Get your fact correct (lol)

I'm a little worried at how this will end. Can't see Putin backing off at this point so what "stops" this? Zelensky and the Ukranian government are killed? Ukranian cities are levelled and occupied?

Even Vlad being overthrown (doesn't seem likely?) would probably just create an internal power vacuum that might even be worse.
Well Putin's staff resigned two years ago. If anything they'd be the ones the West would work with to restore order.

Does anyone know what's going on around Chernobyl?
House party.

No, you're not invited.

Seriously though, nothing. The worst the Russians could do there is expose the sarcophagus, but that would affect Belarus more than Ukraine.

You know its interesting what Russia block from the internet for their people. Obviously the bbc and all other western news outlets are banned, but they also maintain a Blacklist of sites that are anything remotely against the russian regime. But they cant stop like product reviews or services, in fact they're so embedded into global markets that its going to hurt them a lot when we all boycott their shit.

But Google (And others) actually kowtow to the Russian government by excluding what they want excluding... In return for access to the Russian market. Are Google going to actually stop doing this because as I see it that sort of behaviour is rubber stamping what Putin does.

I'm usually close by when shits going down. Tunisia 2011 and it's all kicking off next door with Gaddafi

Like everything in life nowadays, it is relentless this now isn’t it, At least back in the Cold War, no one knew what was going on other then the spies and the leaders. Now it’s 24 hr news, Panorama specials, Twitter this, twitter that, Facebook this etc etc. You don’t know what to believe there is that much of it on TV and social media.
