Haven’t seen this posted, but the fact that a European leader is in contact with Putin and he is seemingly willing to cooperate seems like a positive.
The Russian soldiers being killed are just as much victims as the Ukrainians in putin's mad plan.
They won't want want to be there and will know it's wrong.
If that’s the case, I have even less sympathy with the twats.
It’s one thing fighting for a cause you actually believe in, even if that cause is abhorrent. It makes you an evil ****.
It’s another thing fighting for a cause you know is wrong, but doing it anyway. That makes you an evil ****, and a coward.
I hope they all fucking burn. I’m saving my sympathy for the actual victims.
Again, you can't believe all the quotes and who knows what will really transpire, but this article claims the rouble may stabilise for a little while as the central bank in Russia forces gazprom and the like to sell off currency.
I wonder who the mysterious other backers of the rouble are? Oligarch back channels?

Russia hikes rates, introduces capital controls as sanctions bite
Russia's central bank more than doubled its key policy rate on Monday and introduced some capital controls as the country faced deepening economic isolation, but its governor said sanctions had stopped it selling foreign currency to prop up the rouble.www.reuters.com
Doing their jobs, probably confused and scared that their will be immense repercussions for their own families if they refuse. It doesn't make them evil. Just utterly fucked tbh.
Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine is turning into a "much more perilous misadventure" than the Russian president imagined, the deputy prime minister has said.
Dominic Raab said action taken by the UK so far, including sanctions, is having an impact.
He stressed the government would be doing "everything we can to degrade Putin's war machine" and repeated Boris Johnson's assertion that the Russian president's invasion of Ukraine "must fail".
Fucking appalling. That missile strike on Freedom Square, Kharkiv really does bring this home.
This footage from that Russian missile strike on Freedom Square a short while ago sums up what the Ukrainians and in reality we are all fighting against and need to protect -
....if they don't just level it before they go in.The Russians will eventually break through and enter Kyiv, but it will be house to house urban street fighting and massive casualties
I think maybe you should aim your bile at the bastards who are running this shitshow rather than the frontline cannon fodder? Options are probably quite limited for many young working class males in Russia, so the army offers them a job, a wage etc. It doesn’t mean they want to be involved in this, and what is the alternative if they say fuck it, a ghulag in Siberia? So off they go to murder other people’s families instead.
Like I said. Evil cowards. Fuck them. Same bracket as the monsters who join ISIS, they want gutting.

You don’t send in a 40 mile long convoy if you’re thinking about a ceasefire. He wants Kiev and he’s going to do all he can to take it.40 mile long armoured convoy heading towards Kiev.
Absolutely, I'd imagine when you join any countries defence forces a part of that is subjugating your own views and feelings in order to carry out duties and orders. I'm fairly sure a quick show of hands among the combatants of most wars would show that they'd prefer it not to happen - unless of course they along with the general population have been brainwashed by their own govt to imagine the war as a noble cause.I think maybe you should aim your bile at the bastards who are running this shitshow rather than the frontline cannon fodder? Demoralise Ukrainians.Where’s the military target there?

Useful as a show of commitment/defiance to both the enemy and his people, but I imagine that piece of paper and the signatory will be reduced to ashes at some point this week. Worth noting it was an application to join the EU rather than NATO which really would put the cat among the pigeonsWhy is Ukraine applying to join the EU now? Surely that will just antagonise Putin?
