I think everything is a kick in the teeth to the Paralympics, it is overlooked nonstop unfortunately.

I don’t think being 3 weeks after the olympics helps to be honest, people tend to have “gotten their fill” of niche sports by the end of the Olympic fortnight.

Away from the actual conflict, i think this is the flash point for a new separated geopolitical landscape that will rival the Cold War. Russia began to 'de-dollarize' about ten years ago (reduce it's reliance on the dollar as a global reserve) which is entirely their choice, but it means there must be other willing partners to make this sustainable. China is the obvious and it seems India may or may not go along with it? SA and Brazil are interesting. So, will we slip towards a global system in which the dollar truly has an economic rival?

In a word, no.

That is just nonsense. The Tories, as Labour themselves have repeatedly pointed out, can return Russian linked money without any problem. It’s pennies in the overall scheme of things and it’s weird they have been seemingly reluctant to. Personally, whilst there is no evidence to suggest this is from people linked to Putin, it smells a bit and I think they should donate it to Ukraine for humanitarian causes.

I also think the Labour Party should take their Chinese donated money and contribute that given their stance on Russias invasion.

Nato does deter Putin. In conventional warfare nato massively out powers the Russian military in air sea and land. A fuck tonne of shit tanks & mech artie isn’t anything for nato to worry about in 2020s it’s not 1970. The only reason nato allows him to be such a **** is the realistic prospect he’s mad enough to use nukes and destroy his country and half the world in the process.

In real terms the gulf is enormous.
The USAF is the largest and most powerful air force in the world.
