He's a lying sack of shit. The people of Ukraine elected a government to pursue EU membership. The people and government of Ukraine want to be in NATO.

That's not up for debate, it's settled and has been for 8 years now.

The big question is the ‘if’.

If Putin ISN’T prepared to fire a nuke then yes we should wade in and waste every single Russian rat this side of the border.

Like I said, western capitalist secular society isn’t perfect but I’ll take it over communism or totalitarian / religious fanaticism any day of the week. It’s time people wake up and realise that western civilisation is actually a good thing.

Look at Afghanistan again now the fucking taliban are back. Absolute animals and we were right to wade in and kill as many of the cunts as we could 20 years ago. Poor young girls over there being denied a future.

This from John Simpson. I don’t know the news below has been confirmed by anyone else.

‘The deputy defence minister of Belarus, Maj-Gen Viktor Gulevich, has resigned in protest against the invasion of Ukraine. Imagine the guts & sense of principle it takes to do this.’

There was a lot of talk about Belarus troops joining the invasion, and I think there were some paras involved that were captured, but outside of that nothing, according to the US.

Kremlin: Russia's military operation will only be halted if Ukraine 'stops fighting'​

Vladimir Putin has said Russia's military operation will only be halted if Ukraine "stops fighting" and if Russia's demands are met.
He hopes Ukrainian negotiators will take a more "constructive approach and take into account the reality", a Kremlin spokesperson has said.
The Kremlin spokesperson added that Mr Putin said that any attempt to draw out the negotiation process will fail.
They added that Mr Putin also said that Russia's military operation in Ukraine is "going according to plan and schedule".
Russia's conditions would effectively mean Ukraine surrendering and giving up ambitions to join Western alliances such as NATO
