Anyone pinning their hopes on Xi talking some sense into the Kremlin **** should take a look at this Youtube vid from a guy calling himself Serpentza. He is a South African who posts loads of content on all aspects of life in China and the Chinese. He knows what he's talking about, having lived and worked there for 10 years, travelled extensively across the country, speaks the language and married a Chinese girl. He eventually left (with his wife and child) because he couldn't take the bullshit of the CCP and their goons any longer.

Anyway, it's all very depressing really. Lots of young Chinese really pro war, pro Putin...anything on the internet expressing the contrary view quickly disappears. And don't forget they cancelled this weekend's Prem League coverage; also the opening ceremony of the Para Olympics had a big chunk edited out because some idiot suggested that the war should stop.

I need cheering up...come on City, smash the scummy rags!

They probably think that leaving a massive trading union almost entirely down to border control and then completely opening the borders might seem somewhat contradictory.

Nearly 20,000 foreigners apply to fight for Ukraine - FM​

Meanwhile as refugees stream out of Ukraine, nearly 20,000 foreign citizens have applied to go there to fight, according to Ukraine's foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba quoted in local media.
It comes after the Ukrainian government launched a website for applications yesterday.
Speaking in an online briefing on Sunday, Mr Kuleba reportedly said volunteers from 52 countries have so far applied to join the fighting.
He added he would not specify from exactly which countries applications had come from.
Earlier today the head of the UK armed forces told the BBC that Britons should not head to Ukraine to fight and should instead help however they can from the UK.

News of the family killed in Russian shelling during a supposed cease fire is particularly distressing to read. 8 year old girl died.

I know we are doing what we can, but it comes across as virtue signalling and the truth is that Ukraine have been abandoned by the west with well wishes.

We've effectively disconnected Russia off from the global economy, are taking refugees in and providing arms.

It’s awful but the harsh reality is there’s not a lot more we can realistically do without risking the end of civilisation.

It’s horrible I know.

I am convinced Putin and every single Russian scum who set foot over the border will ultimately see justice though, via the noose the bullet or the lock and key.

You are absolutely correct, but what is the alternative that doesn't start ww3 and lead to nuclear exchange?

I get it, it's all we can do. They are begging us for help to defend their country and families from a war we all know is wrong, but in not getting involved militarily we accept their lives should be sacrificed for the greater good.
 
David Petraeus, a man who knows more than anyone else on the planet put together about war against an insurgent army and population, is saying the Russians are in for a long fight and the huge surface area is a major plus for Ukraine.

I had no idea that Kyiv alone covers 320 square miles.

According to some media sources a lot of those conscripts thought they were on exercises and I can believe it.

When you see the videos of the carnage of convoys left by the Russians, there is an awful lot of nothing around them, barring the cities obviously.

I believe that too.

And to the ones who laid down their arms and gave up, or who turned around and went home, I hope they are okay.

The ones who carried on anyway through deluded belief or a fear of repercussions in Russia, fuck them. They’re fucking murderous cowards and the Nuremberg defence doesn’t wash. Hope they end up in The Hague or at the business end of a Ukrainian rifle.
