Will Smith slaps Chris Rock at the Oscars

No one is going to insult his mrs again like that. And no one is going to do that sort of disgusting banter at the Oscars again. Job done.

I'd like to see any of you guys here watch your mrs get insulted and do nothing except talk to the guy concerned and reason with him.

Because on a random football forum that has zero to do with Hollywood, a thread is 46 pages in - and counting.

Everyone is talking about Hollywood again. And not for reasons to do with those who dabble down Weinstein way.
 
Staged or not it all is a bit tawdry.

An "open marriage", a man who wins an Oscar but tarnishes the whole evening with his...now that's funny, oh, she's not laughing, best do something routine...and who then blabs and makes little sense in his acceptance speech. River? What are you going on about. Every time I've seen him interviewed he always laughs loud. Annoying. Very annoying. Like a braying donkey.

If your honest reaction to your Mrs being insulted by a joke is to go and smack the guy you legitimately have problems. But you enjoy your night in the cells knowing you "defended her honour".

Ask yourself how many people go to comedians' stage shows? Particular ones that WILL pick on you and embarrass you, should you be the 'lucky' one. Don't remember Gervais being slapped cos he's that kind of comedian and people go to see him, knowing they may get picked on.

Ask yourself if Smith was laughing at any other 'victim' before his wife?

Whether he's ever done that?

Why was he special that that can't be done to him? He's fucked himself.

No chance mate,he's now brought worldwide attention to his wife's alopecia that most people never knew about,which I doubt she'll appreciate.
As for the insults,if you know how social media operates he's now made things much worse.

Why would Jada and Will be happy to have that joke be the source of the stunt? One lot of people seem to think the joke was so heinous it deserves assaulting the guy who said it and the other lot think it's light enough that Jada and Will would be all for it being aired to millions and draw more attention to her illness for the sake of reviving Hollywood.
