Not forgetting Luke Chadwick..
Pa Bollo was in the RAF with Luke Chadwick‘s dad, who was no oil painting himself. I‘m a fair bit older than Luke so we didn’t overlap socially, although RAF kids in Pa B and Chadwick Snr’s trade tended so see a lot of each other as we moved around the various bases. Pa B used to update me now and again with his progress and then lack of progress at the rags. Nice guy by all accounts, which was maybe his biggest problem in that era of football.

Age has certainly done him a few favours and he’s not without a sense of humour…

Whatever he’s paying his PR people it isn’t enough. It’s staggering how shit he is yet he’s lauded as some kind of world beater.

Remember when your average 10 pints of Carling and a packet of crisps England fan kept saying Southgate should drop Sterling for Rashford?! LOL
That because Rashford has regressed having had zero coaching for 5 years.

He's been destroyed as a player as he believes all he has to do is run fast and shoot from anywhere and that defending is for defenders.

I reckon if he moves to Arsenal under Arteta in the summer that he could well score a bag full.

He needs to stop believing in his hype though.

Decided to waste a couple of hours of my life and watch the Rags v Leicester , how the f8ck the Rags are in the top six is the mystery , Leicester outplayed them and should have won in a canter , the Rags are a bunch of expensively assembled individuals with a manager who is well out of his depth.
No matter what manager they bring in they are a minimum of five seasons or a dozen transfer windows away from getting anywhere near our level , only Chelski and the Dippers are a threat and a lot will depend on the Cockneys new owners and how long Klippety will stay , because i am hoping Pep will sign another contract and that will be devastating for the 'istree clubs.

I remember watching that euro 2020 final with some rags and they kept shouting get Rashford on. He came on did fuck all and took a horrifically bad penalty, he’s shite.

Watched the 2nd half yesterday, McTominay should have walked and Leicester scored a legitimate winner. All the decent football was played by Leicester. If Leicester were offered utd players on a free I genuinely don't think they would take many at all.
On 606 Chris Sutton asked if Fernández lacked ambition signing a new contract at Utd. Savages reaction was hilarious. It must never have even crossed his mind that utd will never be a team of a significance during Fernández' career

If he does then good luck to the lad.

And he’ll probably finish above United.

It was always politically incorrect to criticise united players too much.

But now it seems politically distasteful. If they say Maguire is shit, they are no better than the boo mob.

It's great to watch them squirm.

It was jaw dropping that the aforesaid fans and also the media were clamouring for Rashford to go to the euros and play instead of Sterling.

He had a lucky break being picked by Van Gaal when they were down to bare bones with injuries and had a worldie match... he's lived off that single appearance ever since - 6 years of hype

There’s an argument to be had that Rashford has the largest disparity between hype and reality there’s ever been for a player.

Beckham was massively overhyped (I remember that Silly Sally off BBC Breakfast one morning saying that Beckham was the best footballer of all time!) but he was still a very good player.

Rashford is massively overhyped but he isn’t even good. He’d be a good shout for a team like Palace. But if you ask Silly Sally who the best English players are, I bet he’d be mentioned.
Something is going on with Rashford. Still think there is a player in there. I would buy him for the positive PR alone.

They are fucked.

shaw not good enough
Wan bassaka
Maguire getting older and not amazing
Bailey always injured
Mata needs to go
Matic shite and old
Greenwood in the shit
Rashford really struggling
Cavani can’t wait to leave
Lingard on his way
Ronaldo 38 next
Jones shite and needs to go

Huge turnover of players needed - don’t care how good the new manager is they can’t do it.

No champions league and budget will be impacted. Ground needs knocking down and whole mood around the club is flat. Long may it continue. Love the slow death approach they are experiencing.

My mate wants them to remain bobbling about irrelevantly in mid table for eternity.
As for me, well, I want them to drop at least a division lower than we managed and ultimately go bankrupt.
That's my dream anyway...
The problem of united going bankrupt would be a Phoenix club (see rangers) rising again, with no debts, many lifelong rich united fan investors, a ground and facilities handed over for minimal amount etc.

as long as they are a going concern, just, then they aren’t going to get back to ‘where united should be(!)’, and will slowly drift down to being lower/middle team in the PL.
Sadly, if they ever got relegated, I think they’d fold, and rise phoenix like (with aforesaid no debt)

The problem with Rashford is that City sign a handful of kids per season from South America with his raw talent, and even there is no guarantee they'll break through. It's nice that he's a local lad, and even through the PR of it all, seems a decent bloke. I could have a beer with him. And both things give you an edge breaking through, but in raw talent terms there is a point where the South American kid is just as good.

Great point. A next Everton would be great.
