It was absolutely scandalous Sterling's abuse at that tournament and I'm not saying Henderson wasn't one of the worst he defo was but...
Kane was by far England's worst player at that tournament he was bone idle lazy, followed into 2nd by Rooney he was also terrible there was no slagging for either player though, they honestly were England's worst players because they negated every England attack, Sterling had the ball at the edge of teams area's running at them offering a genuine threat.
He was being a nuisance but became the scapegoat because he had joined us in my view, same with Hart they needed to slag off players who represented us and Hart he made mistakes it's not as easy or obvious to defend.
What was obvious though is Sterling wasn't bad at all yet everyone lapped it up, frothing at the mouth cos the media told them despite him making good runs into spaces and working hard off the ball, he tried to hold onto the ball with 2 or 3 defender's around him, while dumb and dumber (Kane and Rooney) had barely crossed the halfway line, they offered nowt there was no outlet for Sterling to pass to.
In my view if Vardy and Sturridge had actually played alongside Raheem Sterling equally quick players, then England might've been a very dangerous side up top in that tournament.
