If this Ten Haag appointment is to work he needs his own back room in place. What’s the obsession of having an ex rag sticking their oar in with every new manager appointment they make?

They also lose the expectation that they will be challenging in the next two seasons as when it goes tits up they will be asking for his head on a stick.

It's hilarious listening to the Rags going on about this appointment. Not one of them have any idea about Ten Hag! Was only a few months ago they were cuming in their pants over Wreck It Ralf ffs
Will Ragnick stay on as Director of Football as they planned? I think that plan has gone for a Burton as they made it when they thought he was good.

So...... when is Giggs's court case? He must be lined up if found not guilty.....
Or...... Darren Ferguson is unemployed....
Or....... Dwight Yorke surely can't be over looked again for a top coaching job.
Or........ after his success at Oldham, "Scholesey" has to be at the forefront of any choice.....
Rughead is going to be the (missing) link.

Getting lots tv time at the moment, gave all for Derby only to unluckily go down, forward thinking young manager, knows the raggy way etc.

I think ten hag will either be a great success or an absolute disaster - no in between.

He could be exactly what they need in that he plays attractive football with a clear style of play

However, he hasn't managed the egos before and could quickly find himself well out of his depth

I can just picture him trying to explain to Ronaldo and Pogba how to press and make unselfish passes.

He needs to have a period of moving the egos on, football teams don’t work with players thinking they know better than the manager. Trouble is a lot of those players are on big wages and not many teams will take them.

Not to mention that the mentality of the "kloob" is stuck in the 1990s.
Yep, that's a good point actually. From what I know of him he's a very tactic/youth orientated manager, but managing the press, ex-player pundits, all the "United way" guff, and Baconface haunting the place is as big a challenge as anything on the pitch.

Yep they need to do what arteta has done at Arsenal. Get rid of all the egos, trouble makers etc then rebuild with a young core of players and give the manager time.

I’m amazed he’d sign before knowing they had top4 and CL football. Unless he feels them not being in CL eases pressure for him?? Double edged sword that though as signing quality players will be so much harder.

So the links have started with another war chest of money!

Declan rice and Kane top of the list so at least a 200m layout no champs league that be a big dint added to the debt but as long as they keep the wage bill at around 70% it’s all fine now!?
