Yes I commented at the time to family that he had rolled back onto the pitch, am sure his ankle was throbbing though. Also amused/ angered me the way the ref kept pointing at his watch to the Atletico players saying 'I'm adding this time on' when they were at peak disruption, he should have been saying carry on and I'll blow for full time.It was the extra five rolls of wumming back onto the pitch from Foden that got me. Must have driven them up the wall so much to get a massive taste of their own medicine that they exploded. Was the best thing I’ve seen since the Arsenal fans reaction to Rodri’s winner.
Well played, Phil. Superb shithousery!
Crossbeam gone out of skew on't treadle?Trouble in the tunnel..
Foden was already deemed off the pitch when Felipe decided to slice out at him, that's my take anyway. Seven fouls by City and five yellows?? And AM only eight fouls, what was up with that ref? Weak.
Why wasn’t Simeone booked, he spent more time on the pitch than some of his players?
He was wasnt he? There was quite a few shown hard to keep track. Why wasn’t Simeone booked, he spent more time on the pitch than some of his players?
Honestly got the feeling that the time wasting on our side was more of a 'do we really have to keep going with this?' I'm so relieved it didn't go to extra time...Yes I commented at the time to family that he had rolled back onto the pitch, am sure his ankle was throbbing though. I said earlier in the week how good it would be to out shithouse these twats on their home boy turf, and so it came to be. Fantastic to see those Madrid players get a serious dose of their own horrible tasting medicine.
Also, as much as I like to see a ref let a game flow, that is what happens when you don't crack down early doors on excessive force. Ref let the game get away from him. He created the environment for that last 15 minutes. Maybe uefa are the dicks here for choosing a weak ref.
And what is the fucking point of var if a headbutt isn't seen? Preposterous. Almost makes you wonder that they only use it trying to manipulate a result they want.
Great overall performance, though, from the Blues. Can see this result galvanising the squad for the run in.
Especially when Felipe was sent off & fannied around for three minutes, ref should’ve simply said it’s your time you’re wasting but went on to play 12 minutesYes I commented at the time to family that he had rolled back onto the pitch, am sure his ankle was throbbing though. Agree - Savic - 12 games for us and 300+ elsewhere - a non-entity as far as we are concerned.Grealish was right though, Savic is a massive ****
And, it's not like the butt came from a player not fully involved in the melee, or on the fringes of the action. It was savic, in the middle of it all, headbutting sterling, in the middle of the melee, in the middle of the picture. This is what I don't understand about the VAR implementation. Surely off the ball incidents that the referee has not seen are literally what it has been implemented for?
I like the concept of VAR but it's so inconsistently utilised that it's just incredibly frustrating for supporters.
This video will be taken down eventually because of the copyrights issue, but from 90th minute on, the level of madness was unreal. City players, on the other hand, were cool throughout.
