I feel so sorry for those who spent hard earned money to watch that! If Pep had no intention of trying to win that today then he should have just took the complete U23 team and rested everyone. But once again he is a law unto himself and bizarrely puts out a 50/50 half arsed team of players with no form and players who were shattered. Other than Ake and Stones the whole team and non tactics were a bloody disaster. Why you would persist with the same exhausted team for the full 90 minutes is amongst the greatest acts of obstinate stupidity I have ever witnessed.

We all knew the dippers would come at us the first 20/30 mins and couldn’t cope with the press. To allow it to run away from us is what hurts as we could quite easily have swung for us with 15/20 mins to go.
That one on one miss from Jesus was critical, which again highlights our deficiencies upfront all season.

Considering that was Liverpools refreshed and fittest starting 11 against our much changed and depleted squad… we should have at least taken them to extra time. That’s even discounting our goalkeeper blowing his own feet off with a shotgun for the first 45 minutes.

If we started Ederson and he made subs earlier we could have won, and he chose not to.


OK, if we really can’t compete in all 3 competitions and one had to be dropped, that’s fine, but now he has to win the League and CL or else he’s just thrown away a major trophy for nothing.

Why would you play your backup keeper in a cup semi final? No disrespect to Steffen but surely Ederson didn't need resting. If Pep has played him out of sentiment, then that's an awful call. If Pep wasn't that bothered about winning the FA Cup, then play the kids.
