Yes I'm aware. I mean since Euromaidan. It's been 8 years, he has lost both elections since and the current president seems incorruptible even from Ukranian oligarchs.

He obviously overestimated his chance of success in taking kyiv and installing a Lukashenko style puppet.
 
Last stand in Mariupol coming up. Marine commander there saying they are encircled, outnumbered, outgunned and that this will probably be his last message, that they have days if not hours left. They could all be dead by morning. Mariupol needs a Dunkirk evacuation across the Black Sea and sadly i can't see it happening.
 
Germany really doesn't want to help Ukraine does it? No heavy weapons from them - oh by yiminey no.
France and Italy aren't that keen either it would appear.

Although Ukrainian Airforce say they’ve received only parts to repair their current stock. As per article Slovakia has some non-operational Migs which they may have sent which can be repaired/used for parts by Ukraine.

Given the last time people blabbed to the world about sending jets the whole thing got shut down and turned into a political hot potato, I'm hoping the Ukrainians are just saying they've not received any for plausible deniability and can say the new jets in the air are old ones made airworthy with the new parts.
